This brew bursts with hop character while still achieving a sublime balance due to a firm, robust malt backbone. It is a cross between an English-style and American-style India Pale Ale that is full-bodied and refreshing all at once.

Hazy brown body. Extremely malty ale with notes of caramel and dough. Not an IPA

Tao at Whole Foods in Cupertino. Aromabis muted caramel and slight wildflower. Pours hazy copper with soapy, chunky moderate off-white head. Flavor is breads malt with an obscure orange flower in the back half. Kind of has a malt extract aspect to it. Faint metallic.

Keg at the taproom in Yokohama. Pours lightly hazy orange-gold with a creamy crown. The aroma holds vague ripening citrus, pale bread, some pine needles. Light to medium sweet flavour with more vague citrus character, light piney bitterness, white grape gummies, grassy bitterness. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Finishes with more ripe, lightly jammy citrus, gummy grapes, piney and grassy bitterness. A so so IPA.

Tap @ Beer House Craft Man, Kyoto. Pours amber with a white head. Rather weak aromas and flavours of malt, caramel and fruit. Lightly bitter, medium sweetness.

Juks (1267) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - FEB 22, 2017
330ml bottle. First pour is almost clear orange (another half of bottle is hazy), big white fluffy head, doesn’t last very long, leaves lacing. Aroma is fruity, red berries, raspberry, mildly resinous, mango, peachy, orange, some malty caramel. Very sweet and aromatic. Taste is sweet, malty, resinous, mango, juicy, orange, caramelly, some green tea. Long bittersweet hoppy, fruity aftertaste. Medium bodied, below average carbo. Different, rather sweet and quite malty IPA, not bad.

Bottle at my parents. Some malt sweetness. Nice fresh hop character. Mild and drinkable. Refreshing.

DutchDrebus (6365) - Oirschot, NETHERLANDS - OCT 7, 2016
Bottle at home. Nice beer. Pretty tame for an ipa but still hoppy and fresh. Slightly more malty and sweeter than I expected. Medium body, soft carbo.

mateuszk (2769) - Poznań, POLAND - AUG 30, 2016
Draught. Amber in colour, white head. Aroma of malt with a touch of hops. In taste some citrus, lot of caramel, medium sweet. Medium body, average carbonation, long light bitter and astringent finish.
