Bottle from Asahiya. Big nose of caramel, citrus, alcohol, dark fruit, raisins, and sweet pears. Hazy copper color, thin around the edges, with almost no head. Flavors of dark fruit, orange marmalade, caramel, a bit of wheaty spiciness, and some citrus notes in the final. Somewhat dry finish. Medium-heavy body and very warming. Wheat is not so pronounced in this one. Very tasty. chuwy (50) - JAPAN - MAR 6, 2017
UPDATED: MAR 6, 2017 Excellent example of the style. Rich, malty, sweet but not.overly so. Smooth medium heavy body and slight alcohol heat but still true to style. Very good.On tap at bashamichi taproom. CyborgX (109) - THAILAND - MAR 3, 2017
Bottle - aroma is sweet, perhaps apricots and other similar fruit. Pours a cloudy amber, and taste is sweet barley/wheat and a warming alcohol belly. Definitely a sipper, to be savoured slowly

33 cl bottle (10% abv). Bottled on 30.06.2016.lusikka (7813) - Tampere, FINLAND - NOV 29, 2016
Pours clear golden color with a small rapidly dissipating head. Aroma is quite unorthodox, marmalade, ripe fruits and some caramel. Flavor is sweet ripe fruity, marmalade, faint wheat, earthy, very distant glue-ish alcohol on the finish. Quite interesting sweet concoction.
330 ml bottle. Pours a dark amber orange colour with a small white head. Aroma of sweet malts, wheat and plums. Flavour of sweet raisins, plums, bready malts and quite a bit of honey. Full bodied. Very heavy mouthfeel. A heavy sipper.

Thanks shoulderbroken for sharing the bottle!
Poured into a taster showing amber honey tones with no head.
The nose shows a deep sugar cane sweetness with notes of honey.
The palate is full bodied and lightly carbonated. Low level sweetness with a caramel biscuit maltiness throughout and a moderate bitterness towards the end.

Bottle. Unclear amber with a cream head that lasts OK. Aroma of sweet bread, fudge, grapefruit, nectarines, pale sultanas, plums. Wouldn’t pick wheat. Not that heavy for around 10%, carbonation is lowish and very nice. Sweet and briochy with enough citrus, underripe plums and bitterness to lift much of it away at the end. A bit of a muddle, but a likeable one. biirusaikou (2705) - - MAY 11, 2015
Draught at Harajuku taproom. Dark caramel, apricot, tart, brioche, honey, orange hops, dry finish. Great stuff, one of the best Baird seasonals I’ve had, dangerously smooth :) suurjuust (3540) - ESTONIA - MAR 10, 2015
Tap. Amber beer, fluffy off-white head. Nose is wheaty notes with sweet malt and something that could be diacetyl. Flavor has less of the creamy diacetyl, a lot of sweetness. Can hardly find the wheat. Finish has more of toffee-like sweetness and malt plus harsh herbal hops. Lacks balance. martjoobolut (4387) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - MAR 8, 2015
Tap at Pudel, Tallinn. Pours slightly hazy golden-amber with off-white head. The head stays for some time. Aroma is sweet, fruits, citrus, alcohol. Flavor is sweet and bitter, fruits, citrus, mango, grapefruit. Finish is long grapefruit bitter with some alcohol. Carbonation is rather high. Overall: nice and interesting brew.
