Sweet jammy fruity initially, later a rich sweet maltiness. Hint of sourness in the taste briefly. Nice rich roasty bready malts. Fullish sweetish palate, a bit limp - this feels keg, but OK carbonation stops it from being dead. A bit boring, but drinkable. Covers the alcohol, so a bonus point for that.
Rerate (Pudel again)
Murky brown, with ring head. Mostly caramelly aroma that’s slightly tarry, in a dirty way. Perhaps a hint of boozy vapours or phenolic aspects, which carry over into the taste. Sweetish, fizzy palate. A few mushrooms, and this has a caramel and mushroom finish, with sweet treacle in the late finish. A hint of sourness again. Served too cold.
Tap. Dark amber color. Medium size, beige head, stays. Alcohol, sweet, herbal, caramel and Belgian yeast in aroma. Caramel, alcohol, yeasty, nutty in taste. Walnuts, alcohol and Belgian yeast in aftertaste. Medium carbonation. Harsh to drink. Boozy and yeasty brew. k0mpsa (3019) - Tuusula, FINLAND - APR 1, 2017

Its easier to find great beer than great packaging and this has both. A delicious, viscous brew ensconsed within a post-impressionist art piece and a no-BS description of what this ambrosia actually is. hawthorne00 (4029) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - OCT 27, 2016
Bottle, 12C. Clear dark brown with a dense beige head that lasts OK. Avoided the fair amount of sediment. Fat malty aroma with layers of caramel and stewed fruit, dried banana. 7+ Full bodied, a mite chewy. Lowish carbonation is good for this sort of thing. Fairly sweet and dark Sherry-like but not over the top and with a bit of a lean towards dry at the end accompanied by pudding spices and gentle but insistent bitterness. I like the way it’s richly malty but various things lighten it on the palate to keep it a slow drinker rather than a sipper. Thoughtfully constructed and good.
