Clear red brown beer. Crisp semi dry palate. Light malt with just enough depth of flavour. Roastiness and bitterness are absent. Small amount of hop fruit. A brief banana note and some minerally zing to finish off. Nice beer.
A science experiment gone right. Pours a deep, glowing amber-garnet with a healthy beige head that settles slowly and leaves some clinging clumpy lace behind. Nose involves some light caramel and toast along with some faint earthy and spicy hops. As it warms, touches of chocolate and even a savory smoky quality develop. Just the lightest skunkiness presents itself. Pretty sweet flavor with some bitterness involved: light to moderate amounts of either. Medium-light body, active carb, with a toasty herbal bitter finish of moderate length. Really half-way decent, an easy drinker. Malty, but cleansing and crisp. This bottle couldn’t possibly have been fresh, as it had been sitting around collecting dust for who knows how long, but it held up really well, especially for such a low-alcohol brew. Really surprised by that. tomer (3481) - Rishon Le Zion, ISRAEL - MAR 28, 2014
