Bottle. [Another great tasting session @ Papsoe] Small fizzy light beige head that mostly diminished. Spare lacework. Mahogany color. Aroma of butter and toffee. Light toasted malt. Over the palate brown sugar, toasted malt and light buttery and dusty grainy notes. Light bodied with a soft carbonation. Moderated sweet flavor. Sweet toffee like finish. 5 / 2 / 6 / 3 / 12 Cornfield (5570) - Oak Forest, Illinois, USA - NOV 22, 2007
Bottle: Nice look initially, a clear mahogany body with ruby highlighting and a creamy tan head. Unfortunately the head quickly reduces to a film and the little lacing that occurs is quite spotty. The aroma is made up of dark caramel, cocoa, and lightly roasted malt. It seems a bit thin yet still manages to deliver a quaffable flavor of sweet roasted malt, caramel, and a touch of chocolate. The finish is dry and has a very light grassy bitterness. Not bad.Quack-Duck (9484) - Down South, GERMANY - NOV 1, 2007

bottled. purple with a thin white head. surprising aroma reminded me of a u.s. barley wine - some pine and cookie dough. semi-sweet, some cocoa powder and a dry, grassy finish. i’m glad to see newer czech dark beers getting away from the style of the most popular, overly sweet staropramen/kozel type versions pivnizub (10619) - Bochum, Porúří, GERMANY - OCT 7, 2007
