Dark lager has caramel sweetish taste; here you can find slight scent of burnt malt. Its taste is full and the foam dense. This brand is immediately intended for refreshing the humankind’s neater half.

Bottle. [Another great tasting session @ Papsoe] Small fizzy light beige head that mostly diminished. Spare lacework. Mahogany color. Aroma of butter and toffee. Light toasted malt. Over the palate brown sugar, toasted malt and light buttery and dusty grainy notes. Light bodied with a soft carbonation. Moderated sweet flavor. Sweet toffee like finish. 5 / 2 / 6 / 3 / 12

Bottle: Nice look initially, a clear mahogany body with ruby highlighting and a creamy tan head. Unfortunately the head quickly reduces to a film and the little lacing that occurs is quite spotty. The aroma is made up of dark caramel, cocoa, and lightly roasted malt. It seems a bit thin yet still manages to deliver a quaffable flavor of sweet roasted malt, caramel, and a touch of chocolate. The finish is dry and has a very light grassy bitterness. Not bad.

bottle. Dark, nearly black, medium-size and quikcly disappearing head. Intensive aroma of malt, roasted malt and dried fruit. Full-bodied, malty with hints of roasted malt, caramel, cocoa powder and dark chocolate. Slightly hoppy, especially in the finish.

bottled. purple with a thin white head. surprising aroma reminded me of a u.s. barley wine - some pine and cookie dough. semi-sweet, some cocoa powder and a dry, grassy finish. i’m glad to see newer czech dark beers getting away from the style of the most popular, overly sweet staropramen/kozel type versions

On draught at the Pivovarsky Klub in Prague:Dark amber coloured with reddish spots, bigger fluffy sandy head, slowly diminishing, shy caramelly-fruity nose with even shier traces of roasted malt and an small amount of hops, moderate sweetish-bitter flavour, short, a bit sugary and caramelly, sweet-bitter finish. O.K., quite well crafted.........

Draught at Soldaten Svejk, Stockholm. Dark mahogany colour, small firm head. Sweet and lightly spicy. Medium bodied with clean mouthfeel. Flavour of roasty malt and coffee. Sugary finish. Too sweet for me.
