bottle shared by richard, thanks man! pours unclear medium dark brown with a nice beige cap offering some retention and lacing. nicely charred browned caramel, complex roasted foreign malts, tingling alcohol, purple berries with a touch of acidity, some liquorice, integrated spices. moderate to low carbonation, medium body - oily; warming and kind of drying spicy finish. my first (straight) russian russian imperial stout. dunno for authenticity (even if it was made in england back in the days), but there is a serious malt depth. enjoyed! k_gadeberg (197) - Århus, DENMARK - NOV 2, 2017
