COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The first 100% Italian beer made with Italian ingredients. An intentionally simple beer: Italian water, barley malt, hops, yeasts and two Italian spices (bergamot and coriander) which combine to create harmony and originality. A beer which suggests more or less daring combinations, but more importantly marks a turning point in the Italian production of craft beer. Nazionale, is excellent as an aperitif and goes well with any dish. 13.6 EBC 10

Cloudy blond color. This beer has a character of puke, straws, yeast. Bottle shock or real poor beer?

2012-06-17, bottle from Eataly, Bologna; Raccolta Luppolo 2011, 4.5% ABV, 7-4-7-3-14=35
Cloudy bond color with creamy white head, persistent. Mild aroma, some spicy malt and fruity hop, apricots. The mouthfeel is quite astringent because of the high yeast presence; spicy malt flavor, very Belgian, with a moderately sweet and fruity final.
Yeasty and spicy Ale.

I bought this beer at Crevoladossola, Ipercoop. I drank it with Massimo at home. In my opinion, it is a decent Belgian ale, with all the qualities that you can expect. The color is yellow/gold and troubled, regular carbonation, sparkling, thin and white foam. The taste is well balanced, malt, sugar, coriander, some hop but discreet, few notes of sourness, coriander notes, refreshing.

Shared at the London tasting, October 2016. Gold color, a nice white head but undercarbonated for a Belgian ale. Lightly sweet, some yeast. A little spice but not a log going on here. ok.

Draft 0.15l at Open Baladin Roma, Italy. 15.12.2016. Pour it hazy orange color with medium white head. Aroma Belgian yeast with some annoying spice at the end. Taste of clove, banana, alcohol, Belgian yeast, spices, not so compact, herbal finish, grains in the middle, not so compact, not so big fan of this one unfortunately, medium sweetness, light body, sticky, lively, astringent finish.

Baladin Nazionale 2015. 75 cl bottle @ Eataly in Milan. Hazy light amber color with a medium thick, frothy head. Nose is typical for Belgian Blond Ales: floral hops, elderflower, esters. Taste is mild bittery hops, elderflower, hay, light spices, yeast. Medium body, medium carbonation, dry finish. Refreshing and crispy. Good, but not outstanding.

0.33 l bottle from Alko Arkadia, Helsinki. Appearance is pale yellow, hazy and a big head, carbonation. Aroma has fruits. Taste has sweet fruits with a biting ending (hops and spices together, I guess). Quite good, but not exceptional.

A very crisp and refreshing beer. It has a great taste too and epitomises what good "craft" beer should be. So far I think of the few Italian beers I've had, this may be the best. It went down a treat paired with lasagne in a restaurant - so much so that I ordered a 2nd (beer, not lasagne)! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Body is light, spritzy carbonation, foamy. Taste is dusty and chalky, flowery, talc with a dry finish. Quite nice. (3.4)
