Orange sun-rise colored brew with highly carbonated and fluffy white head. Exceptionally mysterious and altogether pleasing harmony of aromas. Fragrant, with subtle ginger spice, and what I can only guess must be seductive myrhh. The body is more subdued gentle spicing layered thinly and sweetly across a moderate amber or pilsner malt backbone. cubs (10714) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - DEC 14, 2010
Bottled at Bull and Bush Xmas tasting in Denver, Colorado. Light orange appearance with a white head. Spicy Belgian flavor possibly from nutmeg. Spicy finish. Thorpe429 (5122) - , Illinois, USA - NOV 30, 2010
UPDATED: AUG 6, 2012 On tap at the Bavarian Lodge in Lisle, IL
Poured a moderate gold with a few orange highlights. Plenty of visible carbonation bubbles. The nose is full of spices, along with some citrus and a tiny bit of earthiness. Flavor takes it up another notch with loads of well-balanced spice and intricacies. Very complex. Mouthfeel is good with the right amount of carbonation. Excellent drinkability, as the brew is intense yet quite quaffable.

Let’s start with the bottle. It sets up the whole experience with Nora. It’s a unique shape for a unique beer. The beer itself is exquisite, smooth and highly drinkable. So far I have tried Nora and Super and overall I am quite impressed with this brewery.

Bottle that I picked up from Bellinger’s Jet Garage, Grove, Nr Wantage, Oxon consumed 31.10.10 Maybe I should have had this a little cooler (I had at just below room temp’) but suffice to say I’m not bothered by this beer at all. There is a sickly honey sweetness throughout. I don’t get the ginger but acknowledge that it is spicy, in fact I don’t really get this beer full stop, not my thing I’m afraid. Bottle from Corks of Cotham, Bristol, shared with Slothez. Straw coloured pour with a slight haze and a mid sized white head. Nose was fragrant with some spice and citrus notes. Interesting herby flavour; I’ve no idea what myrrh should taste like but am guessing its lurking herein. Dryish finish with some tartness. Something a bit different and quite enjoyable. craftycarl21 (2338) - Seattle, Washington, USA - SEP 27, 2010
Cloudy dark yellow pour with a big white head. Aroma is full of spice, grain and hop. Flavor has more dough, grassy hop, and spice to it. Crisp on the tongue. Solid brew. oteyj (2138) - New Hampshire, USA - SEP 27, 2010
Hazy golden pour with a large white head. Lots of yeasty fruiy dough in the nose with clove, ginger, and grassy hop note abounding. The flavor holds crisp grassy citrus with lots of perfume and more fruitcake dough notes. Medium palate with supple effervescence and a clean finish. 75cl bottle. Hazy yellow colour with a small white head. Slightly citrusy aroma with notes of spices and yeast. Flavour is spices, yeast, some sweetness, ginger, herbal bitterness and citrus. Medium-bodied, quite smooth. Tasty brew.
