COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The amber version of OPEN, OPEN RISERVA combines the features of caramel and amber malts with the aromas of American hops. The result is an explosion of well-balanced taste, where the biscuit aromas coming from cereals and the notes of dried fruit blend perfectly with the bitterness and the aromatic scents of hops. The body is strong but never excessive, to ensure it is easy to drink. The head is thick and creamy. 16.8°, 33EBC.

Pours dark amber with a fading head. Nose shows nutty malt, toasty hints, sweet malt, soft apple and pear. Not much else in the way of hops. Nice. Malty flavours too, loads of bready malt. Some piny hops and booze followed by a mild bitterness. Carbonation is too high.

Smaskifa (136) - Oslo, NORWAY - MAY 5, 2013
Muddy amber with a nice head. The aroma is quite fruity, some citrus and hops. The typical Baladin body, silky, medium carbonation, intriguing effect. The taste is pleasant, some citrus and tropical fruits, light hops, nice malty texture. The aftertaste has a distinct touch of licorice. Nice one from the Italians.
