The amber version of OPEN, OPEN RISERVA combines the features of caramel and amber malts with the aromas of American hops. The result is an explosion of well-balanced taste, where the biscuit aromas coming from cereals and the notes of dried fruit blend perfectly with the bitterness and the aromatic scents of hops. The body is strong but never excessive, to ensure it is easy to drink. The head is thick and creamy. 16.8, 33EBC.

Bottle (75cl). Gorgeous-looking hazy amber colour. Inch-thick sticky white head, good retention, fair amount of lacing. Sweet hoppy aroma with almonds, over-ripe pear, banana. Medium body, soft carbonation, juicy mouthfeel. Taste is initially quite sweet, but grows more sour towards the finish. Medium bitterness, pervasive associations to biscuits and almonds. Quite well-balanced, although I find the sweetness a bit too dominating.

Sempre di Baladin, una APA ambrata con un sapore tendenzialmente dolce dato dal malto e un tocco appena amaro sul finale. Promossa.

750 ml bottle from a friend. Pours deep and nice slightly hazy amber, thick and creamy head, stays well. Aroma is really nice, full of ripened fruits, some tropical hops, sweetness but not too much of it. Strawberries. Taste has some fruits as well, hop bite is there but not too strong as the beer I have is maybe not the freshest. It might mean that there is more focus on body and malt character, doesnt feel too much like an IPA - but that doesnt bother me the slightest, it is still great beer, fully enjoyable. I guess the best Ive had from Baladin till now.

Bottle from Eataly, Milan; bb nov 2014, L178/120
Hazy amber color with medium sized frothy head. The aroma is fruity (jam) and bit yeasty (vegetable). Dry mouthfeel, too much carbonation; lean body; some malt flavor, not exciting though; a bit fruity and fresh, buy also yeasty; the bitterness is quite strong.
The yeast has a too high impact on this beer, but the hopping is quite nice.
