750ml from State Line, picked up quite a ways back. Seems to have held up well, with nice frothy carbonation to the amber pour. Semi-tart nose of lychee, apricot, and other similar elements. Mildly acetic, some funk, some oak. Mouthfeel’s a bit underattenuated, though there’s some fizz and pertness in the finish. Flavors have gone a bit soft, though, with strong apple juice vibes and only moderate complexity, fairly muted acidity. Ughsmash (7508) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 26, 2012
2005 bottle. Poured clear, fiery orange with a short cap of smoked beige head. The aroma picked up sour cherry, apricot, oak, and lesser appley notes over fruity and biscuity notes.. interesting stuff. The flavor opened with a tasty blend of tart and sour fruit skins, with aged light fruity meat on the middle.. tart oak, more skins, and light metallic notes throughout.. nice residual fruit skins and oak on the long finish. Medium-bodied with low carbonation on the palate.. a bit slick for my liking on the middle.. overall a tasty brew that held up well over 7 years and exceeded my expectations. zvikar (6172) - Ramat Gan, ISRAEL - SEP 21, 2011

9th beer of blind tasting. Flowing orange color with no head and a bubbly halo lacing. Cannot see throught ht beer. Nose is fruity and cardboard breaking through. Faint acetic in there and a bit of garbage. Leafy and fruity. Flavor is fruit, faint acetic sour. Not really a sour, decent beer in general, I like drinking it. In hindsight, this should not have been part of the tasting, 7/3/7/3/15, Standing in the tasting: personal – tied for 6th, overall – 5th DSG (14784) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - AUG 23, 2011
Bottle at a tasting. Thanks Ariel. Murky dark orange to amber color. Aroma of sour fruits, brett, biscuits and wood. Sourish-sweet flavor with fruits, malt, a bit of caramel and wood. Medium-bodied. Nice and the alcohol isn’t really noticeable.

The following are notes from a blind tasting of sour brown and sour red beers at beastiefan2k’s house. The beers were served in sets of three, three flights total. All beers were served blindly, with a random order. This was really well set up, and a bunch of fun - thanks Eugene!fiulijn (20492) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 28, 2011
