Le Baladin Wayan is made of 17 different ingredients (barley, wheat, spelt, oats, rye, different types of hops and many different spices besides coriander. Teo calls it a "Saison" but it is certainly his personal definition of a saison. Aroma and palate are rather complex, ie it takes some time to find your way through it, so to speak. The different hops are barely noticeable. The balance and bitterness is by a high defree provided by those many spices some of which are very, very unusual in brewing. This quite unusual combination of spices and herbs greatly impacts the finish which again is very different from "regular" saison-style ales. Food pairings: Fish, salmon, salads, filet mignon and other steaks, Thai food.

Pale orange colour, nice head, really lasting. Strong apricot and peach aroma. The flavour is very fresh and fruity with hints of peach, apricot, apple and plums. The finish is spicy, with traces of corn. Really pleasant!

Bottle at Brew Beers and Ciders, Sukhumvit. Poured a crystal clear straw colour with a thin broken white head. The aroma is apple mango fruit. The flavour is moderate sweet with a light crispy, grainy malt, dry fake sugar, light fruit, ligh spice palate. Medium to light bodied with average carbonation.

Aroma - a bit soured, malt, fresh wheat, flour, some herbs, bergamot, spices, yeasts. Taste - a bit sweetly and sourish, malt, spices, some fermented fruits, a lot of yeasts, a bit of pungency and some bitterness. Good.

Medium sized off white almost creamy head with a average duration. Aroma is quite interesting. Red and yellow fruits, some herbal floral notes like coriander and slightly peppery. Palate is medium to thin, high carbonation and a short finish. Flavour is medium sweet, medium wheaty, orange and a little bit spicy. Im a little bit disappointed. Not worth the 6 euro.

Clear, golden beer with good but short head. Some mango, grain and flowers & some soap on aroma. Taste is slightly fruity, with some herbs and lots of pepper. Quite good carbonation. The end is malty and includes a lot of pepper. Quite strange but nice combination. Points from natural wooden cork.

0.75 l bottle with a wine cork. (Youll need a professional waiters set of small knife and cork screw to open this.) Appearance is golden, cloudy and a nice head. Taste is like a spicy white wine. Yep, this is some Italian beer style not yet recognized by Ratebeer or any else. Quite spicy really. I had some chili nuts with this which was not the best combination. Ingredients are (translated by me) barley malts, farro (Italian spelt), wheat malts, wheat, sorghum, rye, water, hops, orange peels, pepper, coriander, bergamot, camomile, gentiana (used in angostura bitters), sugar and yeast. Very Italian ale and great also.

33cl-fles bij Nathan thuis. Merci!

Keg at Baladdin, Bologna. A nice translucent golden orange coloured pour with a lasting frothy white head. Aroma is fresh orange tangerine, wit yeast, orange rind, wheat, Palate is semi sweet, moderate carbonation, a little flabby. Flavour is composed of spicy orange peel, cinnamon mellow saison yeast, little perfume. Ok saison.

Saison bem fiel ao estilo, seca, uma picancia bem interessante no retrogosto, aroma esterificado levemente doce. Muito boa cerveja!
