Alc. 14.0%. Clear medium amber color with virtually none head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, smoke, sweet bacon, chrispy, honey, light roasted, light meat. Flavor is heavy sweet and moderate to heavy bitter with a long duration, smoked meat. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Bottled. Amber colour, small white head. Aroma is smoke, some bacon, alcohol, fruits and mild sugary sweetness as well. Flavour is very nicely caramel, smoked malts, some slight roasted malts as well as some alcohol. Quite lovely balance.

Dark red and amber color, oily, flat, no head. Aroma of sweet malt, caramel, smoke, with some Parmigiano Reggiano and alcohol, very light soy sauce. Full bodied; the ambrosia flows inside the mouth with sugary velvet; the rich malt flavor is followed by dark caramel, and deep smoke; notes of rum and vanilla; the bitterness level is correct; the final is nutty, with light roastiness and light Parmigiano Reggiano; the alcohol provides a pleasant warmth.

The Xyauyù Ultimate Tasting
Beautiful red and dark amber color, clear, shiny; flat. Delicate smoke aroma, it reminds me more a delicate smoked meat of the Schwarzwald than the Lapsang Suchong; it blends well with the malt, caramel and toffee aroma; due to the oxidisation, there is an impression of Madeira; also some chestnuts. It flows like a velvety ambrosia, sweet and delicate, yet powerful; rich sweetness, the malt melts into caramel; the smoke is very delicate, but clearly present; there are traces of chestnut honey and mature fruits; the 14% of alcohol is just a concept. Smooth. Sublime liquid for the gods.
Bottle thanks to Nate at the Imperial Geezer tasting, Borough Market. Smoked cheese on the aroma, like Bavarian smoked cheese. Clear red amber colour. Alcohol and sweetness on the swallow. So smooth, so gorgeous. Jest amazingly smooth. Smokey bacon/cheese with toffee. Smooth as the smoothest thing ever. The closest thing I could think of was a Rutherglen Muscat. Entered as my rating 2700. Thanks Pinball for sharing. It pours hazzy reddish brown with a small off white head. The aroma is light smokey with lots of dark fruit and caramel. flavor is very sweet, malty, honey, smoked notes, flavor is almost between mead and barley wine... and then smoked.. pretty strange.
