bitter caramelly aroma, slighty oxidized, pretty complex, quite malty. dark aroma..
very sweet flavor, very thick mouthfeel, flavor is sweet malts, sweet plums, cosidering the abv, alc. is well hidden, very nice.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a hazy reddish amber with hardly any head. Lovely caramel aroma combined with overripe fruits. UPDATED: MAY 7, 2011 7 May 2011, bottle at one of cgarvieuk’s legendary tastings. light amber, clear and looks syrupy. slightly sherry but a very sweet sherry and not very nutty. med/full body and very syrupy. gorgeous. sweet, sugary. sherry. amazing!

wow! like a nutty barley wine, almost some sherry influence on the nose.
full body, like syrup. really coats your mouth.
very rich! tastes like a sweet sherry.
like an after dinner dram of whisky (at least, that’s how i could drink this!)

[50cl bottle courtesy of cgarvieuk] Thin, viscous browny-red pour. Big alcohol aroma reminiscent of grain whisky or sake. Cognac on the palate, with a raisiny flavour as well - cloyingly sweet however - aftertaste of marzipan and demerera sugar. A strange one, no question

UPDATED: DEC 18, 2010 Bottle. Pours caramel brown. Nose of toffee, honey, buttered bread, tea leaves, oak and dark fruits. Not sparkling. Flavor is heavily sweet. Tastes of honey, malt, raisins, figs, plums, slight wood, slight tobacco, and a hint of alcohol. Full body. Oily, slick, smooth texture. Soft carbonation. Honey, malt, raisin, fig, plum, finish. 13.5%ABV is completely hidden throughout.
