A beer brewed and matured to 13.5% ABV going to 14.5% in next productions.
Malts: Pilsner Durst, aromatic Dingemans, caramunich 140 Dingemans. Hops: Hallertau Hernsbrucker, Spalt Select and East Kent Golding.
Brewing process: the wort is hyperconcentrated then boiled for two hous and half. Primary fermentation for 25 in steel vessels. Then after a sterile filtration (to eliminate primary yeast strains) the beer is transfered in a steel vessel with transparent membrane and a "oxygen hat". Afeter several tasting from 6 to 24 months later (it depends on the oxidation velocity, very inconsistant!) the brewer decides when it’s time to bottle in 50cl. champagne shape bottles with good quality cork. The production is very limited. Three productions brewed during two years will be available from October 2006.

Teo Musso produces three versions Gold, Silver & Copper label which differ from each other in terms of degree of oxidation allowed and fruity perfumery aromas created. Teo’s objective is to allow Xyauyu to perfectly oxidize during the aging proces of 2.5 years {oxidation plays a critical role in aging port, sherry, as well as our vintage beers - too much oxidation will ruin the liquid - too little will not optimize the change in flavor / aroma during the aging process} .Here’s how Teo’s system works: Xyauyu is transfered to a steel vessel with transparent membrane and a "oxygen hat". After several tastings during the 2.5 year aging process Teo decides when it’s time to bottle (it all depends upon the oxidation velocity).
This golden beer reminds of an enjoyable Madera or an intriguing Chateau Chalon of the French Jura.

Bronze medal at the World Beer Cup 2014, category "Experimental beer"

Editor’s note: the label says also "Riserva Teo Musso" and the vintage (year).

Brownish, absolutely no head. Aroma: malt, barrell, dry fruits. Lots of sweetness, honey, oxidation, barrell. Absolutely perfectly hidden alcohol.

500 ml bottle from Systembolaget, vintage 2013. Murky chestnut brown, hints of ruby. No head, no lacing. Great sweet port nose, sweet with sticky dried fruits, raisins and figs are prominent, earthy and caramel sweetness. Full-bodied, non-existent carbonation, sweet and viscous mouthfeel. Sweet complex taste, Madeira / Port / Sherry guessing you’ll find everything from it, figs, raisins, honey, malt syrup, vanilla, leaves, earthy, oak barrels and hints of tobacco. There are lots of flavor to find here, very sweet and takes its time to drink. If you appreciate vintage port, you will love this! Long warming finish.

Pite w ramach panelu w Carpe Kraft. Nalewa się bez piany co w niczym nie przeszkadza. Barwa ciemno rubinowa, klarowna. W aromacie duża dawka słodyczy, szlachetnego alkoholu, kandyzowanych fig, daktyli, rodzynek. Odczucie w ustach niesamowite, zupełnie niekojarzące się z piwem. Gęste, wyklejające, bliżej mu do miodu niż piwa. Pije się z olbrzymią satysfakcją.

Rocznik 2012?

Nocturne (1992) - Cheshire, ENGLAND - MAR 18, 2017
2011 bottle. Dark reddish brown shade. Big aroma with raisins and golden syrup. Hints of smoke and chocolate. Sweet but with a dry edge. A pleasure to drink.

Feel 75cl bottle at Baladin Bologna, Italy. Pours brown, no foam looking very much like whisky. Beautiful yellow reflections on the edge, and deep brown when observed from beneath. Aroma is rich: malty of course, caramel, licorice and honey very well recognizable, nuts, toffee. Body is dense but not as much as I would have expected. No carbonation. Quite some tickling of the nose. Taste starts with sweetness, which gradually gives way to a nice bitterness, and a deep alcoholic feeling. Finish is relatively long, not as much as I would have expected. No astringency, again against my expectations.

Unclear mahogany color, no head. Flat. Vinous aromas with raisins, figs, dates, liqueur, fruit flavored candy, brandy, vanilla and alcohol. Very sweet taste of dired fruits, vinous, liqueur, alcohol, wood and syrup. Too much alcohol during the taste/finish. Very much on the sweet side.
