COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A beer brewed and matured to 13.5% ABV going to 14.5% in next productions.
Malts: Pilsner Durst, aromatic Dingemans, caramunich 140 Dingemans. Hops: Hallertau Hernsbrucker, Spalt Select and East Kent Golding.
Brewing process: the wort is hyperconcentrated then boiled for two hous and half. Primary fermentation for 25 in steel vessels. Then after a sterile filtration (to eliminate primary yeast strains) the beer is transfered in a steel vessel with transparent membrane and a "oxygen hat". Afeter several tasting from 6 to 24 months later (it depends on the oxidation velocity, very inconsistant!) the brewer decides when its time to bottle in 50cl. champagne shape bottles with good quality cork. The production is very limited. Three productions brewed during two years will be available from October 2006.

Teo Musso produces three versions Gold, Silver & Copper label which differ from each other in terms of degree of oxidation allowed and fruity perfumery aromas created. Teos objective is to allow Xyauyu to perfectly oxidize during the aging proces of 2.5 years {oxidation plays a critical role in aging port, sherry, as well as our vintage beers - too much oxidation will ruin the liquid - too little will not optimize the change in flavor / aroma during the aging process} .Heres how Teos system works: Xyauyu is transfered to a steel vessel with transparent membrane and a "oxygen hat". After several tastings during the 2.5 year aging process Teo decides when its time to bottle (it all depends upon the oxidation velocity).
This golden beer reminds of an enjoyable Madera or an intriguing Chateau Chalon of the French Jura.

Color coure i sense gens despuma. Laroma es de malt fruital, de raim i prunes, dolses notes de fusta, xocolata i alcohol. El sabor es de suaus cireres, panses i xocolata, algunes notes torrades, caramel i pruna. Ben equilibrada i agradable. Si no avises, no sospitaran que estan prenen una cervesa, ideal copa desprs de un bon menjar. Espectacular!

Bottle from a friend. Deep copper color, minimal white head. Sweet taste with dried fruits, toffee, resin, alcohol, raisins, grape and a bit of pine. Sweet finish with dried fruits, toffee, resin, pine, raisins, rum, wood and grape. Exquisite barley wine.

2013 Bottle at lambiczoom, Milano, 2nd May 17. Pours copper in colour, no head. Aroma is dates, fig, dark fruit, barrel and booze. Taste is caramel, dates, soaked fruit, liquor, barrel, soaked wood. Rich, slick palate. Fantastic barley wine, not too sweet, way out there.

Bottle sample at Lambiczoon, vintage 2013. Dark brown pour. Aroma of raisin, caramel, booze, fudge, red fruit and vanilla. Rich flavor of raisin, caramel, dates, vanilla, red fruit, vanilla and a boozy fruity finish. Every drop is an explosion of flavors. Tastes like a marriage between moscatel and a barley wine. Really delicious.

Bottle vintage 2011. Pours a murky brown. Aroma is sweet with added honey and very malty with a bit of alcohol spice. Flavor is very much the same. Mouth feel is heavy body and smooth. Great beer!? (is this still a beer?:))

Bottle, dark amber color no foam. The nose reminds a passito wine, malvasia sweet wine. Wood is there along with dried fruit. Mouth is sweet and charming, elegant hints of caramel and vanilla extract.

W ogle bez gazu, ciemnobrązowe. W zapachu rodzynki, banany, słodkie, mocno utlenione. Smak bardzo likierowy, słodki, cukierkowy. Alkohol w bardzo przyjemny sposb grzeje w przełyk, ale w smaku nie ma go praktycznie w ogle. Piwo likierowe, wybitnie degustacyjne, znakomite.
