Not so happy with the balance in this beer, but some of the tastes and the aroma is great. Too much sweetness and lack of freshness when it comes to balance, but the amount of spices and taste of yeast is great. BRW (2781) - Barcelona, SPAIN - JAN 1, 2015
Bottle. Brown colour with tan head. Ginger, cinnamon, malt aroma. Sweet, ginger, cinnamon, caramel taste. Medium body. tfredvik (1941) - Oslo, NORWAY - DEC 28, 2014
Clear, deep copper body with a creamy, beige, long-lived head that laces the glass. Malty, moderate aroma of caramel and fruits, and hints of orange and alcohol in the back. Strong flavour of dark dried fruits, generic fruits, caramel and faint spices. It doesn’t actually taste of orange, despite the citric elements of the aroma. It’s a full-bodied, oily, softly carbonated and very sweet brew with just a light bitterness, but it still feels rather crisp and not at all cloying. Could this be the works of the lager yeast? A good one.
