COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our flagship IPA is a well-balanced yet aggressive West Coast IPA that showcases Yakima Valley hops at their finest. Late additions of Simcoe®, Citra®, Ahtanum™, and Mosaic® give this beer its complex citrus, fruity, and floral aroma and flavor. Named for a unique piece of farm equipment that removes hop vines from the trellis during the annual hop harvest, Topcutter IPA delivers loads of hoppiness all year long. - See more at: http://www.balebreaker.com/beer/detail.html?varietyid=1#sthash.4gWdeMkF.dpuf

can at Etay’s place in Highland Park, CA 24.4.16. Thanks Etay! Clear amber with a white head. Fresh grapefruit aroma.. Bitter, dry and a little bit of dry onion taste. Medium body, fizzy, green with a little oniony finish with some floral undertones.

Thanks to VanJammer for this. Pours clear golden with a small white top. Aroma is orange and citrus hops. Nice a flavourful. Taste is moderate to low bitterness but high on the juicy orange and citrus hop flavours. Nice biscuit malts that balance it well.

Clear golden coloured body with a large, two centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of grass, fresh picked citrus hops with some tropical fruits and pine, and a good dose of perfume and strong herbal scents. Light to Medium-bodied; Assertive fresh hops with a big presence of citrus and tropical fruits, some mellow malt and a light grassy finish, but finishing without bitterness. Aftertaste shows the hops without any bitterness at all - very fresh and clean flavoured with a refreshing finish. Overall, a very nice IPA with a good robust hop profile but without any bitterness - all laid out without super complexities, but it works for this one and the style. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Pear Delicatessen in Seattle, Washington [State] on 18-February-2016 for US$2,25 sampled at home in [the real] Washington on 25-May-2016.

Can poured into pilsner glass. Pours clear golden with abundant white head. Smells strongly of pine, citrus, hops. Plenty of lemon and grapefruit in the flavor. Just the right bitterness. A little above average overall but really nothing to write home about.

Can (12 oz) at home. From kcherney, thanks! Clear golden with a medium persistent white head leaving good lacing. Aroma is piney hops forward, never too harsh, along grapefruits, floral hops, honeyed cereals and mild perfumy presence. Taste is slightly sweet with loads of piney hops again, a lean but nicely honeyed malt backbone, floral presence and mild bitterness. Medium body. Medium carbonation. Oily mouthfeel. Resinous but never harsh finish. Moderate duration of the aftertaste. I like this beer a lot, it’s not groundbreaking on any aspect but it’s so well balanced, easy drinking and quenching that it could very well be one of my go-to IPA for the summer if it was available in my area. Really nice beer.

Can from Bottleworks. Pours clear orange with some initial frothy head and lots of clumpy lacing. Nose is fruity and floral. Flavours of grapefruit, mango, pine. Taste medium bitter light sweet. Full sticky body with lively carbonation and a very juicy finish. So good!

Glad to get the chance to try this. It’s such a logical idea to make a beer in the Yakima Valley that showcases all the great hops grown there, and this does a great job of that. This is a great combination of some of the world’s great hops. It goes down really easily, and if I could get it often I’d drink it often.

12 oz can obtained through Tavour. Bale Breaker Topcutter IPA pours an hazy darker amber brew. The head is about a quarter inch of white foam. there is clear active carbonation. Aroma is Slightly musty pine hops with little herbal elements as well. Taste is initially sharp with good and bright acidity, pine hops come through towards the mid and again at the end. Medium malt. Body is lively and on the thinner end of the spectrum. a really nice IPA.

Can. Golden, slightly pale, clear. Thin but firm top. Assertive nose. Drinks with a full-frontal assault of acid on the palate. Borders on the vegetal side with so much bud ... (#6103, 1/18/2016)
