COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
First introduced in America in the late 1800’s Ballantine IPA was a beer for connoisseurs. It has been credited as an inspirational influence for the present day craft beer revolution in America. Handcrafted by our master brewers, this delightfully hoppy brew resurrects its deep heritage and storied past to embody an IPA worthy of the original Ballantine name. For well over a century the interlocking Borromeran Rings showcased on our label have come to signify Purity, Body, & Flavor, just like the delicious Ballantine IPA inside. We hope you enjoy it.

Bottle:   Fiery orange, a bit hazy, huge fluffy sandy head, nice lacing.   Somewhat soft and candied citrus peel nose.   Hoppy but not biting.   Very citrusy, muted hop bitterness, with a touch of tobacco and tea leaves on the backside.   Not too bright, but its very flavorful.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Clean finish, soft hops and citrus bits, muted citrus bitterness with a little tobacco and tea leaves.   Pretty tasty, but not too bright.   Thanks Bert!

Smells of pine and grapefruit and bready malts and it’s more of the same for taste, though the flavours work far better on the tongue. Smooth with a nice bitterness.
