COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Big Eye IPA is a big hoppy brew, thanks to the abundance of American Columbus and Centennial varieties we use to flavor and dry hop. While the English originally added extra hops to preserve their beers for sea travel, we do it for the love of all that bold, intense flavor that makes India Pale Ale one of our favorite styles.

Bought this in the local grocery store that specializes in room temperature cured meats and an entire section of pickled meats and eggs. They have canned pork brains too. Anyway, very malty IPA. Rich for the style, almost a little nutty. Nice balance with the hops.

I found this to harsh for my taste. Some light malt but mostly strong hard hops. Without the citrus I favor.

I think it is even better than their Sculpin IPA, tasting it on tab on their Little Italy location is a nice add on. Not for casual beer drinkers though ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Ballast Point puts hops in it and slaps a fish on it. Thats all they have to do to make a tasty bottle of ale. Big Eye pours orange with a creamy head. Pine and grapefruit aromas with a touch of caramel malt. Big hoppy flavor with pine, grapefruit, orange, and mango. Theres a fair amount of malty sweetness, but the balance definitely favors the hops. That just as it should be.

Bomber. Mostly clear deeper orange, lasting firm off-white foam. Bold piney citric hop aroma and taste, bitter and grapefruity, well balanced with rich sweet caramel malts, some fruitiness. Average carbonation, medium-full bodied, aggressively hopped. NFL (Not For Lagerboys)

[2016-05-18, Leskinen] Kuparinruskea, hieman samea, luonnonvaalea vaahto. Tuoksussa toffeeta, sitrusta ja jotain pihkanomaista. Maussa katkeruutta. Aika kuiva, tytelinen suutuntuma.

Bottle. A- Pine, dank, grassy, orange, citrus. A- Burnt orange color, clear liquid, off white head. T- Pine, orange, strong bitterness. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, bitter finish. O- Loads and loads of bitterness everywhere in this beer. Id almost consider this a DIPA. For a hophead this would be devine. For me, it was decent but not my favorite.

See through hazel in color with a thin tan head at top. Pleasant aroma with pine and a sweet smell to it as well. Tastes great but the palate is a little heavy and bitter. Still a great American IPA
