12 oz bottle, Whole Foods Columbus. Deep brownish red, one-finger head dissipates into tiny ring. Aroma floral, piney hops, nutty, perhaps caramel. Flavor is a blast of bitterness; heavy on the hops; notes of bread, caramel, maybe honey. Mouthfeel medium-thin, almost oily and almost frothy. Good IPA but the tiniest iota from full-blown unbalanced; Ballast Pointís Sculpin IPA is a step above this for its balance and cleanness.
Pretty smooth IPA, bit of some fruity hops with a simple aftertaste. One of the easier IPAs to drink, but is still refreshing

From can in front of De Bierkoning (had this on tap once, in California in 2009, pre-RB). Clear deep golden color. Off white head. Aromaís of caramel, dark malts, bitter hops. Bitterness is more upfront retronasal. Flavor is bitter, with dark malts in the background. Medium bodied. Long firm bitter finish. Now I need to re-retry with a fresh one. bierkoning (13299) - La Tropica, NETHERLANDS - JUN 23, 2017
From can. Straw, grass and citric hops in the aroma and flavor. A. Soft tartness. Grassy finish. RobBestwick (922) - Calgary, Alberta, CANADA - JUN 15, 2017
Bottle. Orange citrus and caramel aroma. Orange/bronze colour with a frothy off-white head and lacing. Medium bitter citrus hop flavour balanced with sweet malts. Medium body with not much carbonation. Long bitter finish. Solid IPA. ccex (1288) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUN 3, 2017
12 oz can pours a clear copper/orange color with moderate white head of tiny bubbles which leaves some lacing. Aroma is full of citrus hops, pine resin and caramel. Taste is bitter with a brief appearance of sweet malts in the middle before a long dry finish. Body is medium with average carbonation and a sticky mouthfeel. This is a solid, satisfying IPA Iíll try again, although it didnít make me say WOW the way that my first Sculpin did.

355ml can. Pours a copper amber with a thin beige head. Aroma: Citrus, pine, caramel, biscuity malt, toffee notes. Nice complex aroma; both malt and hops evident on the nose. Taste: Caramel/biscuity malt flavours followed by strong citrus flavours. Very hoppy. Lingering bitterness that dominates the aftertaste. Oily slick texture. Quite hoppy/bitter at the expense of having much flavour complexity. A nice IPA. Fisler (527) - Bamberg, GERMANY - MAY 30, 2017
Vom Fass direkt im San Diego Tabroom - frischer gehtís kaum. Optisch astreines Amber. In der Nase schŲne Grapefruit. Setzt sich leicht sŁŖ im Trunk fort. Mittig malzig, hinten bitter. Ein IPA beim dem fŁr jeden was dabei ist. Beerwithwings (84) - Hampshire, ENGLAND - MAY 13, 2017
Can. Pours a lovely dark orange colour. To me it doesnít have a lot of flavour from hops. Nice beer but could be better Darwenus (1113) - Virginia, USA - MAY 9, 2017
Cloudy orange, average foam and carbonation. The aroma is slightly dank and a little malty. Itís big but well balanced. So is the flavor. Grapefruit and malt and floral hops. It isnít a bit bad, I could have it again, but Ballast Point has better IPAs and far better beers in other styles. romanstep (546) - Warszawa, POLAND - APR 17, 2017
W nosie średnio intensywnie, słodko, marmolada pomarańczowa, żywica, dojrzałe mango, karmel. Barwa bursztynowa, klarowne, ładna, biała, gęsta piana. W smaku rządzi żywica, půźniej trochę karmelu i słodkich cytrusůw. Goryczka wysoka, żywiczna. IPA w klasycznym wydaniu, niezłe, ale nic nie urywa. Butelka do ... a kto to wie BE 586 lub 16306.
