COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A hoppy twist on the classic English Porter. Our Black Marlin Porter stands out in a town known primarily for its IPA’s. We craft it from a unique blend of roasted and crystallized malts that give it a smooth, chocolaty, caramel profile. Then toss in a healthy dose of American hops to serve up full-bodied flavor worthy of its San Diego roots.

Nice attractive deep cola brown pour with a thick, smooth tight bubbled head. The nose is rich with coffee and chocolate and roasted malt. The flavor is quite the same, and quite enjoyable. Very smooth and clean dry finish.

Nice dark brown/black pour with a cream colored head. Earthy roast malt aromas. Tastes similarly with coffee and mocha tones. Solid medium body. Slight creaminess. Finish a little smokey with nice coffee and hop bitterness. Well balanced and drinkable. One of the best examples of the style I’ve had in a while.

Bottle. Pours opaque dark brown to near black in body with a small fading tan head. Aroma is fruity and nutty with strong roasted malts and dark chocolate. Taste is chocolate covered fruits, chocolate covered peanuts, cocoa, roasted malts and coffee. Body is soft and creamy with a medium overall feel. Carbonation is velvety even without the nitro that is mentioned in the description. Ends with more dark chocolate notes, some dark fruits and nuts, coffee and light hop bitterness. Tasty!
