A rich, copper ale with a case full of gold medals.
Our California Amber takes its inspiration from traditional English ESBs. Four types of malts give it a bold complexity, and our proprietary yeast strain lends it a fruity, madeira-like richness. However, its the American hops that give this ale a distinct bite and floral aroma that have earned it just about every major beer medal.

Aroma: nutty, toffee/caramel aromas dominate. Appearance: crystal clear and lives up to the amber moniker. Taste: the malt flavor is center stage followed up by big bitterness to reign in the malt. Palate: middle of the road, moderate effervescence and body. Overall: I prefer my Ambers pretty hoppy so this one isnt quite for me but still its a well made amber.

Bottle at home. Pours a clear amber color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma and flavor have toasted grainy malts, caramel, mild floral nose, light fruits, herbs, decent enough amber.

Bottled @ Babajan. Deep ruby amber, creamy dense head, good lacing. Sweet malty and resinous aroma, butterscotch, rye bread and grains. Soft carbonated, smooth and mid-dry mouthfeel. Earthy and resinous taste, caramel, woody, dank and leafy. Crisp finish with pleasant pine bitterness.

Pours a clear, light chestnut brown, with a nice fizzy head. Big malt, yeast aroma. Taste is light toasted malt foundation with a light, herbal, spicy hop finish - starts slightly grain sweet, shifts to a dry, faintly peppery hop note, and finishes with a lingering sweet touch to the tongue. Palate is light and refreshing on the tongue, no cloying sweetness. Overall, a top tier amber - a grown-up amber. Beautiful balance of sweet and bitter, while holding to the amber character.

This is an excellent Amber. Our room is mostly caramel toffee toasted malt and a little hop. Color is a deep Amber and has a nice long lasting thick creamy head. Taste is where it really shines with toasted malt Sweetness in the background and some hop bitterness in front balanced with Just Right carbonation. Finish is outstanding I could drink a ton of this.
