Can:   Amber colored, moderate to large foamy white head, nice lacing, lively carbonation.   Soft citrusy nose, with faint tea leaves.   Similar on the tongue, moreso to the tea leaves.   Very faint bitterness.   Has a bit of a stale wet cardboard aspect, but its minor.   Even a touch of fruitiness.   Falls off quickly.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Flavors fall off a bit too quickly.   Reminds me of a "Small Beer".

Aroma is yeast, pine and hops. The flavor is grapefruit, pine needles, light citrus and a lightly bitter finish.

[email protected], gamla. Amber. Real nice fruity hoppy nose. Grapefruit, caramels, peaches. Soft nice body. Doesn’t feel watery, but light though. Hoppy lingering finish. Good session ipa. Understandably a bit thin in the middle, but very enjoyable still.

Medium-copper with lighter blonde tints and a large, well-retained white head.
Plenty of citrus and light tropical fruitiness in the nose is clean, as allows from these guys and leads to light traces of biscuits and dry caramel. Big notes of grapefruit, softer meyer lemon-like juiciness and touches of pine and mango round it out. No alcohol, obviously and quite clean and bright (and low on resin).
The flavor is amazingly full, robust and deliciously hoppy without being overdone. Not something one can just chug too easily, as there is a good deal of bitterness. Quite impressive they’ve got this much flavor and body in to a beer of this size. I was generally treating this as a sipper, not because it was too bitter/resinous or anything, but because each mouthful was quite enjoyable and the flavor lingered nicely. May actually buy a six pack of this soon.

Lightly hazy orange amber color with a small, white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of floral hops, light pine, citrus fruits, and some toast. Taste of citrus, pine, toffee, grapefruit, grass, and a bitter finish.

Canned version, golden color with no head, great floral citrus aroma and flavor, smooth body with light bread, good finish

Location: 12 oz can from Hoboken Vine, 5/15/15

Aroma: The aroma is mostly resiny/pine hops, some clean lemon/citrus hops come through too
Appearance: Clear and bright orange in color with a frothing, lasting beige head and sheeting lace
Flavor: A lightly sweet taste, very clean from a flavor perspective, with a medium bitter finish
Palate: It has a quite smooth and clean feel, a lighter body, soft carbonation, and a dry finish
Overall Impression: Pretty much right on what I look for in a Session IPA. Nice flavor. Easy drinking. Low alcohol. It is a hint thin compared to the best ones, but otherwise, as you’d expect from Ballast Point, this is excellent.

It pours crystal clear golden copper with a beige head. The aroma has pine, grapefruit, toasty/cracker malt and some floral notes. It has a light body with a lot of moderate intensity carbonation. The taste is on the woody papery side with cracker and citrus zest. The finish is quite bitter. Pretty solid for a 3.8% beer. Think I prefer the mango version, but both are solid.

New Beer Distributors, NYC can ($2): Pours light copper with a frothy white head. Aroma is grapefruit, lemon, and pine with light malt backbone. Taste is lightly bitter hops. Body is a little on the watery side. This is very light even for this characteristically light style. Refreshing and even a little sweet. It is kind of what I was looking for.

Can from Bearden Beer Market. Orange, with a lot of white foam. Smells grassy, very green, and a good deal of citrus. Taste is grassy and citrusy hops, hint of caramel, and more hops in the finish. I liked it...
