On tap at Ballast Point Little Italy. Pours a clear golden-amber color with a stable white head. Lots of pine and grapefruit in the aroma with a bit of sweetness. Loads of piney resinous hops with grapefruit and mango flavors. Some malty sweetness. Medium-light bodied with good carbonation. Dry finish. This is a low-alcohol beer with a surprising amount of flavor. Excellent!

Can. Golden pour. Aroma has fresh citrussy hop, biscuity malt, pineapple, mango and peach. Taste of citrus, soft grassy pine, peach, biscuity malt, tropical fruit and crisp. Tasty stuff, but a little more body would make it even better.

Can from Gulating, Stavanger. Pours almost clear dark golden with a big creamy off-white head. Inviting malty and orange aroma, lots of marmelade. Taste is moderate bitter, grapefruit, unripe oranges, a bit thin mouthfeel, as expected

Single 12floz can from a mix-six purchased for $10. "16 0351 15:31 EK 92M," stamped on the bottom of the can. Im not gonna look it up, no clear freshness date present. Poured into a nonic glass. Its copper and has a sticking foaming head. Smells like pineapple, and other tropical punch much like a weak fruity mixed drink of this kind (not meant in a bad way, but pleasant). I gotta rate this better than some of the session IPAs I reviewed as it is better. It tastes like a watered down Sculpin with a smoother mango-melon flavor component. Goes down easy as it should. It does the job very appropriately for being a light-style IPA. Refreshing with a quick flush of fruitiness, a neato summer beer.

Appearance: clear deep gold with one finger of medium-dense ivory head, good retention and moderate lacing. (4/5) Aroma: citrus, tropical fruit, pale malt, light pine. (8/10) Taste: moderate-low sweet, moderate-high bitter. (8/10) Palate: medium-light body, moderate carbonation, crisp dry moderate bitter slightly sharp finish. (3/5) Quite nice, which makes the fact that there will be my last two from these guys for the foreseeable future all the more painful. (Ive decided I have to boycott them because of the political activities of the parent corporation, Constellation. So, Ill drink the ones I have left, and thats it.) Bright citrusy hops lead the way over a very clean, almost non-existent malt backbone. Overall, the hop presence is impressive for such a light malt bill, and remains generally enjoyable until the tail end of the finish, which comes across as slightly thin, sharp, or astringent. Which, I guess, is an excuse to drink more oh, right (15/20) 7.5/10 #ryansbooze ryansbooze.com

Can on the train. Pours a golden/orange with a fluffy white head. Bright hops, very citrus-forward, grapefruit, lemon peel, grassy, sweet malts. Strong on the aroma. Medium bitter, under medium sweet. Medium body and carbonation. Feels very full for a session beer.
