COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Ten different malts and six different hops (Ahtanum, Cluster, and Spalt to name a few) combine to create this full-flavored, small beer. Even Keel features a silky malt backbone and a bright hop flavor and aroma that come from the late kettle additions and dry hopping with 1.5 pounds per barrel. Even more layers of flavor are created with fermentation being done by two strains of yeast. This session ale is herbaceous with additional citrus aromas of lemon and grapefruit. The orange to copper hue draws you in and the low alcohol volume keeps you coming back for more.

tap. aroma of clean dank citrusy hops with a pleasant tropical fruit tangerine sweetness to round things out. nice balance. not too bitter, not too sweet. worked pretty well. not terribly potent aroma, but very easy to drink. good job at the session hoppy pale ale style.

Poured a crystal clear amber with orange tints and a two-to three-finger creamy coloured frothy head that retained very well and laced OK. Carbonation low and slow with medium sized bubbles; nearly flat. Aroma strongly of citrus (grapefruit, orange) and pine; nice strong aroma for a mid-strength beer. Taste not over-powering of grapefruit and hints of pine, not a lot of malt; moderate bitterness; nice taste for a mid-strength. Light body. Crisp, clean, slightly dry and slightly sweet with a lingering bitterness on the finish. Easy drinking.

Learning Im not a fan of session IPAs as a whole. Fruity citric hop front followed by...nothing. Piney bitter undertones throughout, but the whole thing is one-note.

From a can. A slightly thin body, a touch like soda water but thats too be expected for a mid thats travelled all this way and thats being picky. Very good stuff.

Shared a can, poured to shaker. Nice appearance: clean amber-gold with medium foamy head. Citrusy nose. Mild hoppiness with a bit of a thin finish, but nothing like I expected with a sub 4 ABV. A good session beer for a hot day.

This is the lowest ABV I have ever had. Cheap light beer has more alcohol than this. Not sure why they used 10 different malts because cant taste any of them. Hop overload with no where near enough malts to back it up. Overly bitter, very watery, not enjoyable at all. For the price it was a complete fail. Had to get it in the CAN and cant even get a buzz on it!! A cup of strong unsweetened herbal tea would be about as good as this so called beer.

Can from Dan Muphys 031116. Possibly the best mid-strength beer that I have ever had. It has all the colour, hoppiness and flavour of a big IPA without the alcohol. This will be my go to beer this summer for sure. Floral aroma with citrus and malt in the flavour that leads to a long lasting finish.

DMs,Can BB 08/2017 clear amber orange, lively carbonation, decent sticky tan head. Quite fragrant, malty fresh bread, floral, grapefruit. Taste is the same with piney lingering bitterness all in a moderate 3.8%, nicely done.
