4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottled; color is light yellow with a golden center, lively carbonation produces a fine textured head with lacing. Aroma is grains/cereal, dry pine wood, apricot and orange and grapefruit citrus. Interesting flavor that has highlights of both cereal, biscuit and apple notes typical of lagering that transitions into a slap-in-the-face dose of peppery hops. Im really enjoying this one; the lack of the typical malty sweetness of a San Diego IPA leaves nothing but unadulterated hop flavor. A great deviation from the west coast IPA by a great brewery. I could drink this ALL DAY during a summer beach outing here in San Diego...
UPDATED: OCT 17, 2017 Golden amber color with one or two finger foam head. Get the hops on the nose with a hint of the malt character underneath. Taste is strong hops at first but then gives way to bready malts at the end. Iznogud (4681) - CROATIA - AUG 26, 2017
Cask at BP Scripps Ranch, apparently cask has pineapple added, not sure if it’s a new entry or not. Pours cloudy orange golden with white head. Hoppy, citrus, vague pineapple, grapefruit. Moderate bitterness in finish. Medium bodied. deanso (10258) - Chiang Mai, THAILAND - JUL 13, 2017

Bottle at tasting. Golden pour. Aroma of citrus and malt. Taste has citrus, peach, malt and that typical lager yeast sweetness. Meh. BlackHaddock (7951) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - FEB 25, 2017
On a flight at the Ballast Point place in Temecula, California on 9th Feb 2017. Golden amber pour, white head. Citrus notes ruled the nose and flavour, light piney hops almost getting through, but not quite making it. Refreshing enough, but too citrusy for me, even if it was in fact fairly sweet.

Can. Pours hazy straw with airy white head. Clear aroma of hops and grass, with estery notes. Bitter, hoppy flavour with sweet notes of fruit and malt and pastorianus notes Bitter and estery aftertaste. Good. MiP (16054) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - DEC 21, 2016
UPDATED: DEC 21, 2016 Can, 7.0%. Distinct grapefruit aroma, slightly perfumy. Hazy dark golden colour. Very big stable creamy white head. The flavour starts off with a good grapefruit note. Then comes a good bitterness along with a nice malt note. Late spicy hoppiness. Powerful but fairly clean. And tastes good, by the way. MetalNHopHead (2257) - Lincoln, Nebraska, USA - DEC 15, 2016
I was a bit hesitant about drinking Fathom at Ballast Point since it’s fairly easy to get elsewhere, but having it fresh on tap was a treat. Clear gold-amber appearance. Hugely fresh and tropical nose. Mango, lemon, grapefruit, peach, tangerine, guava, and melon. Flavor showcases juicy, bittersweet fruitiness and some biscuit malt. It’s hop-forward but the malt provides enough of counter balance to make this crisp and satisfying. Dry, chewy, and resinous feel. One of the better IPL’s I’ve ever tried. kermis (14955) - The Hague / Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - DEC 4, 2016

Tap at Hair of the Dog, Phrom Phong. Poured a clear medium amber with a thin broken white head. The aroma is grassy citrus hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a fresh grassy yeast fruity woody hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish.
