A great pale ale. I can't believe it's only 35 IBU - it tastes like triple that. Citrus and hop forward flavors with a bitter finish. Really impressive and best as a first pale of the night. Had this after 12 mile run so possible it tastes like piss but everything tastes good right now. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Into a tulip, chilled. Misty, orange amber with little evident life and massing of a two inch, white as white foam that holds for the length and laces well. Vinous and deeply fruity nose. Tropical fruit such as guava, mango, honeydew and lychee with edges of blood orange and pear. And then it disappears. Watery thin, drabby and bitter palate lacking that juicy fruit of the nose. Harsh, abrasive. This is it chilled. A good ten minutes of hot hands on the base of the glass it opens up. Carbonation is spritzy bringing out tart, underripe guava, blood orange, honeydew and bitter gourd. Lengthy herbal, dry and brash bitterness with a woody twang lasting long between sips. It is still watery, but at least it came to life somewhat. OK, but not what I expected of such a high ranking ales!! (35,5cL can, illegible BBE, Dan Murphys Canning)

355ml can into schooner glass. Golden orange beer with tight white head. Laces well. Medium carbonation. Nose is full of promise. Tropical fruit, malt and pepper all apparent. Flat in the mouth, oily texture, slightly sweet. Then the finish! Wow. Earthy, nutty, sweet and lingering. Lavender, cashew, oranges and malt all make an appearance before the final lasting hop bitterness. Beautiful beer.

Absolutely gorgeous pale ale, a bright and sunny orange-gold with a massive cloud of head. Huge dank-citric hop nose. Starts with a soft orange-caramel sweetness, then grows semi-dry and floral as the Mosaics kick you in the teeth. Finishes with a biscuity malt flourish before a prolonged hop bitterness takes hold. Damned fine beer.

Bottle. Hoppy, pine with a bit onion aroma, in taste crisp, dry and quite bitter for a pale ale (short and nice bitterness). Light body, moderate carbonation. Nice, crisp and bitter pale ale, good stuff.

[email protected], Tampere, Finland. Medium/light aroma with mineral, slightly waxy notes of sweetish fruits. Orange/golden color with small white head and hazy liquid. Medium, balanced taste with tropical fruits and hops, which are clearly visible. Some hoppy malts. Medium taste spectrum and medium aftertaste with malts. Light/medium body with medium/light carbonation. Overall, refreshing and distinctive, though simple.

Tap at Hair of the Dog, Phrom Phong. Poured a hazy medium amber with a thin broken white head. The aroma is yeast, weedy peachy citrus. The flavour is moderate bitter with a fresh crisp fruity yeast light peppermint bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Big, bright APA, with pine and some malt presence to mark it as an APA, but it remains a West Coast hopheads APA. A little too much for my tastes but decent. Bottle.
