COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Sculpin IPA is a great example of what got us into brewing in the first place. After years of experimenting, we knew hopping an ale at five separate stages would produce something special. The result ended up being this gold-medal winning IPA, whose inspired use of hops creates hints of apricot, peach, mango and lemon flavors, but still packs a bit of a sting, just like a Sculpin fish.

This one poured a cloudy medium amber colour with a soapy head. Minimal lacing. Scents include habaneros, malt and bread. First swig was....holy shit hot. For a beer anyway. Flavours of the habaneros with a light malt and tiny bit of bitterness. Finish is quite hot with a little bit of hop shining through. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Chili can go both ways when it comes to beer. In this case it makes up for an absolutely intense and unique beer. Maybe a bit too over powering but the combination of hops and complex fruity habanero is really interesting.

While I’m a big fan of the regular Sculpin and the fruit flavors, this one just didn’t do it for me. Unlike other pepper IPAs which are well balanced, like Alaskan Jalapeño IPA, the pepper overpowers the delicate IPA flavors and aromas, with a substantial lasting burn from the capsaicin. Fun to try once, but I won’t be buying this again - nor will I take free samples of it.

Bottle. Habanero, orange caramel malt, and straw aroma. Hazy golden yellow with small head. Very spicy habanero pepper, lightly sweet orange caramel malt, and lightly bitter straw flavor. Good body. Lots of heat - pretty intense but tolerable - however it overwhelms nearly everything else.

Semiclear copper with pure white head. Habanero, citrus pineapple and herbal. Burning with delicious capsicum. Awesome.

Draft... Unsure what to do with this one. Aroma of spicy celery, hops. Neat spicy IPA feel to it, some grain. Great for a fun gimmicky beer but the spiciness is a tad too distracting for me.

bottle. neat beer. Heat from Habanero is right off the start - great balance of hops and heat. Love these styles of beer - this being one of the better ones

Bottle: Clear, bubbly, brassy gold with a small white head. Mango, habanero, grain aroma. Strong habanero heat after just a few seconds....mango, orange, lemon flavours show, but are covered up by a substantial burn... Way more heat than expected.....Not bad, but all base Sculpin notes are completely buried.

Bottle 355ml (Beer Hunters, Pori). Clear golden-orange color, small white head. Aroma has spiceyness, vegetables and some fruits. Medium-bodied. Pineapple, then habanero burn. Lingering ... burn. Simple and very spicey.
