On at Capone’s. Poured a golden color with a white head. Yep, there’s habanero in this one. The hoppy IPA was in the background, but this one ended in too much of a spicy burn for me to finish. Sammy (12610) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 16, 2015
On tap at coalhouse pizza. Heat really kicks it and a full mouthfeel with the hops as passenger. slowrunner77 (12588) - Reno, Nevada, USA - SEP 16, 2014
UPDATED: NOV 1, 2016 "Wow. Ballast does it again. One of my very favorite IPAs spiced up enough to notice, but not so much it takes away ANYTHING from the hoppy tropical goodness that is Sculpin. Light peppers on the nose, a little more in the flavor. Sublime!!" deyholla (12031) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - SEP 28, 2013
On tap at Aces and Ales 2. Pours a clear amber with a white head that dissipates to the edges and laces. Aroma has pine hops with underlying pepper notes and a backbone of earthy grains. Flavor has pine and grain up front with a strong finish of hot peppers. rosenbergh (11753) - Tampere, FINLAND - APR 26, 2015
Draught at the Ballast Point Miramar.
Clear golden colour with a small white head.
Very strong habanero in the aroma. The chili really dominates the aroma.
The flavour is malt and habanero.

Draught @ Stone 17th Anniversaryshrubber85 (11570) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - NOV 18, 2016
Pours clear deep golden with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, citrus, pine and hint of chili. Taste is medium sweet and medium bitter with a long extremely burning finish with hints of grassy and fruity bitterness. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
Bottle. Habanero, orange caramel malt, and straw aroma. Hazy golden yellow with small head. Very spicy habanero pepper, lightly sweet orange caramel malt, and lightly bitter straw flavor. Good body. Lots of heat - pretty intense but tolerable - however it overwhelms nearly everything else. BVery (11232) - Plymouth, Minnesota, USA - APR 10, 2015
Tap at Busters. Orange - golden pour with a white head. Still get some of the citrus / apricot in here, but on taste, it’s just fiery hot. Not my deal, but fun. DocLock (10970) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 2, 2013
Draft at Capone’s. Did this one horizontally with the regular, and this one has an intense habanero flavor thet melds well with the crisp hoppiness and great balance, but the heat does take center stage to a degree that prevents it from exceeding Sculpin. I guess my point is this: This is a great hoppy spicy beer for hot pepper lovers, but most will prefer the Sculpin much more. Nothing against this beer, it is one of the best spicy beers I ever had, but it isn’t Sculpin (and I know it isn’t trying to be, and I’m fine with that). allmyvinyl (10932) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUN 8, 2015
Keg at the Brewdog AGM 2015. Pours clear golden amber, thin white head. Aromas of citrus, pine, pepper. Taste is light sweet at first, then spicy, chilli heat builds.
