Holy crap -- talk about truth in advertising! I love habanero, but this is that times a billion. I’m giving it the rating in question because it lives up to the label, but this is a hard beer to drink! badhack (571) - San Francisco, California, USA - NOV 27, 2014
Sculpin is such a fruit heavy IPA (for me tropical, grapefruit and peach) and habanero are such a fruity pepper (mango and other tropical stuff) these two pair well together. Also it’s a habanero. It could be much hotter but there is sense of danger as liquid capiscum coats your throat and mouth. Not a quencher this one. Hats off for the crazy guys that bottled and distributed this to Whole Foods. monkeychugg55 (1115) - Joliet, Illinois, USA - FEB 5, 2015
Clear orange copper with a nice white head. The aroma is strong habanero peppers...enough to make your eyes tear up with a big wiff. The flavor is also loaded with habenaroes, but also has a nice fruity hop flavor and some sweet malt that goes well with the peppers. The heat is quite significant as you would expect and goes perfectly with the rest of the beer. Nice bitterness lingers with a lot of peppery heat. Good sipper. iainten (2) - Devon, ENGLAND - JUN 16, 2015 does not count
Cracking beer from Brewdog AGM. Aromas of Grapefruit and Pine. Well balanced bitter to sweet taste with a nice warming feeling to add to the mix. I think the chilli completes this beer SinH4 (6571) - Garching b. München, GERMANY - JUL 6, 2015
Taster at the brewery. Golden color with white head. Amazing tropical-and-grapefruit hoppy nose, like the regular Sculpin, not much of the chilis there yet. Taste gives a immediate Habanero sting, then fruity, then a clean bitterness. Really hot. A masterpiece in terms of how the things work out, the habanero hits you only in the taste. I love it, but beware: I like very hot and spicy things, although I usually don’t adore chili beers.

1/2 pint on tap @ One Pint Pub. Pours clear golden with a low head. Aroma is malts, fruits and some habanero. Flavor is malts, fruits, loads of habanero and some hops. This must have a higher scoville rating than Tabasco! Burns your lips. Great! Learninbeer (672) - Sterling Heights, Michigan, USA - MAR 9, 2017
The aroma is floral, grass, some spruce. Pours a golden copper with off white mostly lasting and excellent lacing. The taste is bitter. The body is medium/light, the texture creamy, the carbonation lively and the finish bitter with a nice bite. Very Good!! Nice heat with the bitter bite and good long finish. dbarnold (1127) - Bethesda, Maryland, USA - SEP 4, 2012
Amazing, great hops and the spice that pairs with hops, all in one glass! It’s the thin, dry, citrus you know frmo sculpin with the peppers hitting the back side and providing a burning peppery finish. Get it if you can. Beerathon (1680) - Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 6, 2013
Loved this because it held all the flavor profile of the awesome Sculpin IPA and added a zing of heat to it without being overpowering. jstraw (1967) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - AUG 2, 2013
Draft at Jerry’s. Dark gold with big, foamy, white head, good lacing / Bright nose of citrus, weed, cut pine, honey / Medium body, crisp, excellent balance with bitter finish, and very spicy / Flavors of honey, grapefruit, cut pine, resin, very hot but not much of a vegetal flavor / Very nice, with quite a spice kick.
