3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draught at Stags Head NYC. Crazy beer to say the least but very interesting. Pours opaque black with a beige head. Smells like curry and coconut. Tastes like kafir lime, curry, burnt coffee and hot peppers. there is a definite burn on the lips while drinking this. Intresting beer but it works.
Dark brown/black color; Medium slightly creamy body; Aroma of sweet malt, cocoa, coconut, rich spice, & vanilla; Flavor of slight roasted sweet malt, chili peppers, curry, chocolate, and citrus (notably lime); Finish is quite hot; Interesting brew - a bit much at times. Alc 7%. BBE ?? Mustanruskea väri, olematon vaahto. Suutuntuma mikrokuohuva, todella kurkun taustaa poltteleva, ei äkkinäisen vaan lievän viipyvän, curryä löytyy, kanakastiketta, intialainen keittiö. Polttavuus dominoi liikaa. Jännä, oudon juotavakin, mutta nautittavuus kohtalaisen heikko. Alkoholi alkaa polttelemaan ja tulemaan ylös teinivuosien Pink Cat -liköörin lailla. Maustepommi, mutta oudon nautittava, paljon enemmän kuin eräs liettualainen ykkössijalainen. ogivlado (8316) - Zagreb, CROATIA - DEC 12, 2017
Bottled 650ml. -from Beergium. Pitch black coloured, small to medium sized brown head, pure curry in the nose. Roasted malt, heavy curry madras (not so big fan of that kind of curry), chocolate and spicy with notes of alcohol and vanilla. Nice and interesting try but softer curry would be best here. black color; curry spices dominate the aroma - lots of curry and cumin; curry and cumin dominate the flavor as well, set against a roasted malt base with a nice amount of cayenne heat; just hints of coconut and lime; leaves a nice amount of heat and curry in the finish; a really interesting beer - all of the flavors of a nice Indian meal - takes a bit of getting used to, but I quite enjoyed it bwa5879 (962) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - OCT 2, 2017
Black pour, looked a bit thin, half inch velvety cocoa brown head. Curry cumin and coconut foremost in aroma, cayenne too but less so, ferrous cola stout too. Soft carbonation, mouthfeel a bit frothy and spicy, finish leaves mouth numb. Flavors match everything in nose with cumin and coconut being primary. Really good unique stout, could use a bit thicker body.

65 cl bottle @ home. Pours dark brown with an off-white head that leaves some lacing. Aroma and flavour are cumin, curry, and roasted malt - with a spicy finish. stevoj (5867) - Boise, Idaho, USA - JUN 13, 2017
First sniff gave away it’s Indian pedigree. Taste brings in more of the stout characteristics. Chocolate on the back end, curry up front. Savory notes and heat slowly rise up. Complex flavors. Sipper for sure. Palme (4856) - Bergen, NORWAY - MAY 24, 2017
On tap @ Rattle N Hum. Quite a deep dark one this, not the best light environment where I’m at now, but this looks pretty close to black ruby. It also has a nice big lasting and quite lacing brown head. Smells really good I have to say. It’s almost milk chocolaty, I get cocoa, spices and burnt wood - the last in a mild way. Can’t put my finger on what it is about this aroma, but I really like what I’m smelling. Tastes really good also! Almost like a mocha frappuchino just better. It’s thick and oily in the mouth while it’s creamy and soft on the prickling carbonation. Milk chocolate, lots of nice rich coffee. There’s cream and ice. A lovely spiced up creation that I can definitely dig. 11.06.2015 rami_pl (4786) - Warszawa, POLAND - APR 19, 2017

9/24/16. On tap at Growler Country. Dark brown pour with a small khaki head. Wow, Indian spice all over the aroma - promise delivered. Same on the flavor, loads of Indian spice... I don’t hate it, actually. This works surprisingly well and I’m surprised. Not bad.
