Red ale infused with ginger, cocao nibs, orange peel, and toasted oak chips. Brewed for Ingrid 1 in 8 diagnosed. Per brewer: this is different than Coronado version because of use of White Labs 001 yeast instead of Belgian yeast.

On tap @ Brewbies 2014. Hazy orange pour with a white head. Smells of lemongrass, ginger, and bread. Kind of tart on the nose as well. Some orange, berries, and apple tart. Flavor is just kind of fruity and sour. Mild spicy, herbal notes of ginger and some lemongrass. Bread and apple sweetness, kind of sugary, and some berry tartness. Not a fan.

On tap, pour is murky golden Amber with a modest fine bubbled off white head in this glass. The nose is ginger dominant, with some general sweetness from the malt profile. The flavor profile started off a little mediocre, but it did grow on me. It felt a little one dimensional courtesy of the ginger, with some basil, caramel, and spicing. Interesting..... But....

BMan1113VR (7931) - Los Angeles, California, USA - APR 4, 2012
On tap at Blue Palm’s Grand Re-opening (labeled as a sour with spices). Pours with a hazed red hued body with an off-white head. Aromas are a bit lactic, earthy, ginger, currants, citrus zest, currants, berries. Some candied fruit notes. Flavors are earthy, soil, dusty, raw ginger, currants, orange, light oak tannin, mildly tart. Dark fruits and plum. Not really sure whats going on here. Medium bubbles and dry with a somewhat big feel to it.
