Poured in the wrong glass at the bar so not much head but nice Pilsner malt aroma...bready with a hint of floral noble hops. Very well balanced and a nice mouthfeel. I like this beer a lot ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a clear yellow with a fizzy white head with little lacing. Aroma of sweet malt and grain with very mild noble hops. Taste has some honey sweetness with a husky graininess and mild hop flavor and a bit of light fruitiness. Light bodied with low carbonation. Average lager.

Rating #1600 - 28.03.2015 - Bottle from Palm Liquor in San Diego. Bold golden pour with a thick, white foam, decent retention. Aroma is strong malty sweetness, caramel, ripe fleshy fruits. Taste is lightly hopped, rather dry but quite impressive. Crisp, refreshing, and smooth tasting.

Light yellow body with thin white head a virtually no carbonation. Aroma is faint, almost doughy. Taste is sweet, but overly. Some hops, and watery. Not bad, not that impressive either.

Pours pale pale yellow with a minimal white head. Aroma is mild grains and corn syrup. Taste really isnt bad for this lagered beer. Initially this has some mild hoppy bitterness, the sweetness follows and then, for the finish, pleasant grains creep in and take over the palate.

On tap @ Ballast Point in Little Italy. Very pale lemony yellow. Lightly fruity aroma, hints of fresh celery. Clean pale grains, light fruit notes. A nice lager.

Nothing bad, but totally bland and sweet. Low alcohol make it interesting... But not compared to the best session IPAs.

January 20th, 2014 - Longfin Lager is easy to spot in San Diego year round, but it seems to be most appreciated during the hotter months. Of course, all months are appropriate for a beer of this weight in San Diego, so January doesnt seem too, too weird. It pours like many other lagers, donning a thick white head with bubbles big and small, and underneath a slightly hazy body - just a bit of fog - in a dandelion yellow body. The aroma is dry, but with a single sweet scent, like a concentrated honey flavor. The mouthfeel is intensely active, and in the mid-taste it sweeps aside to reveal that honey touch again. This lasts through a long aftertaste, where the last popping bubbles mingle with a waning honey flavor. Broadly, I like the balance here, but that honey note is a bit sweet, and appears a bit candied in places. But that might be easier to overlook after a day walking along the boardwalk, watching friends on Facebook kvetch about snowstorms, blizzards and slush.
