bottle. Golden with one finger head. Medium body with some bread and grassiness. Light hops. Doesnt do much for me, but solid for the style.

12 ounce bottle into lager glass, bottled on 10/26/2015. Pours slightly hazy pale golden straw color with a 1 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings down the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aomr aof light lemon, cracker, bread, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of pale malt and earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of light lemon, cracker, bread, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate herbal/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of cracker, bread, light pepper, and herbal/grassy earthiness on the finish for a short bit. Very nice robustness and balance of pale malt and earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from carbonation and bitterness. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately crisp, and lightly grainy/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Very clean on lager flavors with minimal yeast ester notes present. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming present after the finish as expected of 4.5%. Overall this is a very nice Helles lager style. All around good robustness and balance of pale malt and earthy hop flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

12 fl oz can. Pale yellow gold colour, white foam head that dissipates away and aroma of grains & grassy notes. Taste is grainy, hay, citric, yeasty, with grassy bitterness. Light bodied, medium carbonation, dry grassy slightly metallic bitter finish. Quite OK.

Aroma is wheat, metallic, corn, light. Appearance is pale yellow, white head that dissipated quickly. Taste is lightly fruity, lots of malt, wheat, light metallic, not much happening. Mouthfeel is crisp, light body, just a little off though. Overall, this is standard for the style.

12oz can. Filtered pale yellow-tan body. Thin soda-like head after the initial bubbly pour. A pretty solid lager for sure, clean and classic tasting, nice balance between the straightforward golden malt and the noble hops. Pretty straightforward, good for what it is.

Pint at Folsom street foundry. Very pale yellow coloured pour with a fleeting white froth. Aroma is simple grainy, lager notes, slight staling. Flavour is composed of light grains, straw, light apple, metalic, chalky. Palate is thin, highish carbonation. Take it or leave it/

[email protected], from WineSpot, Cleveland, USA. Medium aroma with sweet malty notes, almost like in apple cider. Light yellow color with no head. Clear liquid. Medium/light taste of sweet malts. Simple and too sweet. No hardly any hops. Narrow taste spectrum and short sweet malty aftertaste. Light/medium body with medium carbonation. Overall very light, too light compared to German stuff. Might go as a thirst quencher.

Average yellow shade, a tiny bit hazy but mostly clear. Small head. Smell is damp grass and hay, creamed corn, and toasted corn. Taste is balanced, a good conflict between sweet and bitter. A decent bitter aftertaste, but it almost...almost doesnt taste like the aftertaste belongs with the lager.

355ml Can from BottleDog, Glasgow (3):
Very ordinary from Ballast Point to be honest, it was a very clean & crisp beer but there wasnt a whole lot of flavour really. I got some grasy hops, hay & corn with some bread malts but nothing grabbed me or made me want to try this one again which was disappointing given how good some of the brewerys other beers are.
