12floz bottle, no date, $1.50 unit cost, pint glass. A golden DIPA with a slight haze and a thin layer of head. The commercial description of the nose is pretty apt, I get orange citrus with some pine notes too. Full in body, and bitterness is very much present yet not harsh. Bitter orange and herb notes emphasize a hoppy palate. A pretty good IPA/DIPA that is within my preference for the style. milewide (2370) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - MAR 16, 2018

UPDATED: FEB 28, 2018 Clear, golden color. Pine, tropical fruits and malt in the aroma. Strong, hoppy bitterness in taste with a malty backbone. Good, old-school, DIPA.

A steady pour produces a two-finger thick, light tan colored head. The beer is a light golden color that shows a brilliantly clear, yellow golden hue when held up to the light. The aroma smells of tropical fruit backed spicier herbal notes and a hint of malt. Lychee, kumquat zest, ripe tangelo, as well as more rounded guava, ruby-red grapefruit, and perhaps some mango make up the fruit character, while a peppery, nettle, and lightly dank herbal note is also here. The malt is purely supporting with just a hint of honey like malt, and cracker like grain.

Fairly light bodied, but with a definite viscosity and palate coating character that lets you know this is a little bigger than the usual IPA; the carbonation is medium with a light prickly texture. The beer is fairly dry, which mutes the fruit flavors compared to the nose, but they are still the largest single flavor contributor here with flavors of kumquat zest, tangerine zest, lychee, and lots of floral citrus oil. The bitterness is quite smooth for a beer this big, it hangs on and lingers in the long finish but is fairly light for a classical IPA (which this is not). The alcohol provides a hint of heat to the finish, but just barely warms up the back of the throat, and is held well in check.
This is a solid Double IPA, I like that the alcohol is not overly warming or hot.
Bottle->CM1. Clear dark gold with small white head. A: pineapple, mango, citrus, mild hops. T: citrus hops, tropical fruit, caramel malt, citrus rind. Great taste. Foxbush (2180) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - FEB 18, 2018
Growler purchased at the Daleville, VA brewery. Wonderful ale. The ale pours a clear light amber color with a white head that stays with you. The white head has modest lacing. The aroma of citrus and tropical fruits is detected on the nose. This is a JOY to drink. The medium body ale has soft carbonation. The taste is diverse with citrus, mangos, and hints of pine. The Ale finishes with fruit and mild bitterness in the back of the mouth. WOW!

K, kurvi. Pours golden color with a thin white head.
Pine, grapefruit, Malts, hops
Feels bit old obviously.
Pine and grapefruit in flavor, really like the bitterness. Some orange as well.
12-ounce bottle pours golden-yellow with tiny spritz of white head and lacing.Aroma: citrus and tropical fruits, pine, honey. Flavor: pineapple, mango, grapefruit, pine. Mouthfeel: medium-bodied, crisp and refreshing (deceptively drinkable for ABV); lingering bittersweet dryness. GoufCustom (2350) - HONG KONG - FEB 1, 2018
355ml bottle bought at Q Club in SoHo, Central.
Looks: Clear dull golden colour with a faint layer of dirt-like yeast sediments; Near zero head with residual soapy white foam which fades in 5 seconds; Good sticky lacing with barely notable slight carbonation.
Aroma: Fragrant Ale malt, with tangerine, orange, melon, light white grapes, floral, sugar, spices, strong pine, strong resins, biscuits, lemon and strong grass.
Taste: Medium to strong sweet Ale malt, with strong grapefruits, yellow fruits, floral, sugar, spices, strong pine, resins, dry biscuits, strong lemon and close to strong bitter grassy hops.
Body: Mid to full body; Very slick and oozy palate.
Mouth Feel: Good Ale maltyness in a thick background, not as rich as most malt-heavy IIPAs but still pretty rich. Strong grapefruit and yellow fruits dominate. Flowery with pleasant strong sweetness. Very piney oozy, biscuity with strong lemon to round. Light and nice!
Hoppiness: Tangerine, orange, melon, light white grapes, floral, strong pine, strong resins, lemon and strong grass in nose. Grapefruits, yellow fruits, floral, spices, strong pine, resins, strong lemon and strong grass in taste; Bitterness is quite strong for a lasting, close to high astringent sweet-bitter oozy malty finish.
After Taste: Quite dry. Piney citrusy and bitter to mouth.
Comments: This one has a pretty flashy tangerine and grapes aroma, but hoppy pine and ooze are the focus here. Thank goodness the malt is not as heavy as I feared. As DIPA, this is light as a feather and easy drinking, but packed with quality hoppiness. Refreshing and fun to have!
