COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This new IPA rises above the rest. We’ve developed many IPA recipes in our R&D program, but right from the tank, our Manta Ray Double IPA was a winner. Aromas of fresh, citrusy tangerine, melon and light pine leap from the beer and linger over a smooth finish. Like its namesake, this brew can sneak up on you – a big beer without a bite.

Pours clear straw gold with a 2-finger white head. Tropical fruit aroma with a bit of a citrus note. Body is medium-to-full and lightly oily. Astringent dryness to the finish. Flavor of piney hops, maybe a touch of citrus peel.

bottle. Golden with one finger head. Medium body, slightly sweet and boozy. Slick. Dank, bitter hops. Mainly citrus, light tropical. Solid, but I’m burning out on the big boozy hop bombs.

Golden color, nice foamy head. Aroma of sweet citrus, honey, some herbal sensation. Taste is sweet, lightly bitter end, sweet grape fruit and surprisingly boozy.

12.08.2017, 0,35l bottle sampled @ Bryggeriet:
Tiny shortlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet grassy, wet leafs, wet grass, caramel malts, citrus peel, weeds, hay, flowers, light malts, moss, minerals. Taste is slightly dry and harsh grassy, weeds, harsh citrus peel, minerals, old leafs, bark, paper, harsh hops, dried grain, soil, alcohol, hints of medicine. Longlasting dry bitterness, slightly harsh mineraly mouthfeel. Not my cup of tea.

poisoneddwarf (2567) - Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho, USA - AUG 7, 2017
12 oz bottle from work. Aroma is melon, apricot, orange creamsicle, faint sweet onion . Pours nearly clear golden with a one finger white head with decent retention and some lace. Taste is mildly bitter with some malt sweetness and lots of juicy fruit flavor; a hint of numbing menthol. Alcohol is extremely well hidden. Pretty good.

Crisp, pine aroma. Can tell it is a high ABV beer, but it is still light and refreshing. Bitterness without the unpleasant aftertaste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Awesome double IPA. Great old school bitterness without that crappy melon and tropical fruitiness that newer IPAs tend to lean toward. Aroma was big and thick. Sticky grapefruit rind and pine. Pour was a nice hazy light gold with some small sediment which was a plus. Taste was fantastic. So bitter it was borderline hot with the grapefruit rind and pine in the front and a slight soapiness in the finish. Finishes a little wet with mild carbonation. Mouth is left bitter. Clasic

UPDATED: AUG 1, 2017 From bottle, the appearance is crystal clear and a pale straw color with a thick white head that stays highly carbonated. The aroma is hoppy little bit of grass notes, yeast and a little bit of sweetness. There is a little bit of aroma reminiscent of stink weed. The taste is beautiful Hoppy with a little bit of sweetness to take off the bitters the mouth is medium to thin. The finish is slightly bitter.
