3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a very dark brown with a red hue (highlights?). A short-lived light brown/beige head sits on top and recede into a small rim that leaves some lacing. Nose is that of your morning coffee so I guess the mocha theme is pretty much a success.Taste is more of the same with more of the chocolate/cocoa peeking through. Never ashy. Some light vanilla. Body is on the lighter side (I’d like it to be a little richer) and carbonation is moderate. A bit sticky. Overall a fairly solid mocha porter. Not quite "dessert-y" but still pretty tasty and a nice way to end the day.
22oz bomber pours with a clear deep dark mahogany colored body that has thin dark ruby red edges and supports a tan head of foam. The aroma offers up dark roasted to burnt coffee notes rolling quickly into a pleasing chocolate sensation and malt balls. The taste delivers loads of dark roasted to charred coffee and a thick layer of chocolate goodness. It gets into a chocolate covered malt ball area toward the finish. Pretty nice with loads of chocolate and dark roasty flavor. BeerdedDave (2086) - Beckley, USA - MAR 7, 2018
black color; great chocolaty aroma with light coffee notes; lots of chocolate in the flavor; medium bodied roasted malt with some coffee notes; a bit bitter in the finish mjs (7884) - Helsinki, FINLAND - FEB 27, 2018
(Keg at Sori Taproom, 20180227) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had coffee, dark chocolate and burnt malts. Palate was full bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, coffee, ash, sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste had sweetness, burnt malts and bitterness. A tasty burnt brew with with coffee. Doft: kaffe! Lite kakao, rökigt -lite mer åt vedrök/cigarettrök än chark, syrlighet, boozy, rostad kavring, lite soja, men mer sött och massa kaffe, lite mineraler,
Smak: lätt, kaffe, lite kakao, rostat, en del humlebeska men generellt ganska mild, len och lätt. phaleslu (11064) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - FEB 12, 2018
Draft at Low Spark, served in a pint glass. Pours a deep, basically opaque brown with a small tan head that settles into a cap atop the liquid, eventually washing away into just a ring. Notes of dark and milk chocolate, cream, coffee, toasted and roasted malts, and a bit of earth. Medium-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a smooth, creamy, roasty mouthfeel. Delivers exactly on its promise - a nice, chocolaty, coffee-rich porter. Smooth and creamy and tasty.

B+. Pours a black color with khaki head. Let it warm up a little and it gets a lot better. Huge chocolate aroma and flavor with subtle vanilla hayayoshi (32) - Colorado, USA - FEB 10, 2018
Rich sweet chocolate, mocha, coffee aroma. Dark beer but has some light coming through the bottom of the glass. Beautiful light brown head that lingers. Velvety texture with medium-full body. Taste is milk chocolate, lightly roasted, mocha, frap, and slight vanilla. So much going on in just a 6% beer. This is a consistent beer that I have enjoyed for a while. Glad to see it's back in season! just for $5 too. NosirIwont (2696) - Husum, DENMARK - JAN 28, 2018
Bottle. 6.0%. Best before 08.18. Pours black with a fluffy, tan head. Great lacing. Roasted aroma, with notes of chocolate, light coffee, and an ashy overtone. Fruity hint as it warms. Flavour is ashy and roasted, with fruity and chocolate notes. Has a light, somewhat chili-like note as well, though without the spiciness. Mildly bitter finish with an ashy note and hints of chocolate. Lingering liquorice note. Overall good. 28.01.18. Vighals (4652) - Sørumsand, NORWAY - JAN 27, 2018
