Hopped in 5 different stages, this beer has flavors of apricot, mango and lemon. But this isn’t your regular Sculpin IPA - this version has the addition of 100% fresh pineapple puree to create a new twist on an old favorite.

Appearance: Bright medium amber. Slightly hazy. Finger of white foam. Nose: Bright pineapple, candy sweetness, citrus, mango and tropical fruit hops. Taste: Pineapple bomb. Quite sweet. Overpowering or blending with most of the rest of the flavors. Tropical fruit with a hint of a bite on the finish. Body: Medium with lively carbonation. Parting thoughts: A very pineapple brew. the pineapple is pretty much overpowering everything else involved, so if that sounds like not your thing, you may want to avoid.

Taste is of fake pineapple. Once a difficult find, now available everywhere, including the local gas station. Billion dollar sellouts. Big beer punks.

Pours a bright, slightly hazy golden with a medium white head. The aroma has lots of pineapple, mango, citrus and grassy hops, and minor resin and pine. The taste is dry and has heavy bitterness. The heavy pineapple and mango are identical to the nose, while the lesser impressions of grapefruit, resin, caramel, and cereal provide a bit of variance. Pineapple aftertaste. Medium in body and slick in texture. This one is tasty. Its one of those that I could drink all night.

UPDATED: DEC 25, 2017 Härlig fruktig doft av ananas. Bra beska. God öl men den slår inte den vanliga Sculpinölen.

Bottle from Harris Teeter in Alexandria, VA. Clear gold in colour, with a slight, white, head. floral and citrus hops and plenty of pineapple fruit in the aroma. Flavour had some crisp, balancing, malts, more pineapple, leading to a hoppy, dry, finish. Very good.

Ballast Point hit a home run with this flavor combo. Definitely my favorite of the Sculpins. Strong pineapple notes compliment a well balanced citrusy hoppiness. Clean finish. Not malty or sweet. Very drinkable. Wouldn't change a thing about this guy.

Kudos for getting any other flavor into this West Coast IPA. Pineapple provides a nice aroma, with just enough taste as well, to complement this beer. I'm not an IPA guy, this was alright. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
