Tap at Scripps Ranch. Can’t believe this was a small beer - tastes like a very rich porter. Nose is roasty and dark chocolate, flavors of the same plus milk chocolate. Really great, even cold. alexanderj (3605) - Branson, Missouri, USA - MAR 14, 2009
On tap at teh brewery. Voted for the sea monster. Color was dark brown with athin head. Aroma of coffee and roasted malt. Flavor was the same and pretty tasty. Pretty good for style. mspindler (489) - Alta Loma, California, USA - MAR 14, 2009
5 oz. taster at the brewery. Pours black with a very thin head. Aroma is pretty much all coffee. Flavor is better than I expected, roasty with coffee and some hop spiciness. Really not particularly complex but very sessionable and refreshing. Somewhat light bodied with average carbonation. Goes down easy and great if you’re a coffee lover. Taster at the brewery. Dark black pour. Strong coffee aroma and smell as well. Very drinkible as well, lots of flavor for a second run beer. Very good. badlizard (5533) - Berkeley, California, USA - MAR 12, 2009
On tap at brewery. Dark brown with a fizzy off white head. Sweet malty aroma and a soft roasty taste with a robust nuttiness and toffee notes with a lingering caramel taste to the finish.
