Not a fan of pumpkin, but I always like trying this style. Good levels of spice keep it interesting, and the pumpkin does not dominate. slowrunner77 (13622) - Reno, Nevada, USA - AUG 30, 2015
UPDATED: NOV 27, 2017 Very nice and balanced spiced beer with a great base, and just the right amount of pumpkin and pie spices.
Pumpkin flavor and malt linger.
A month later a bottle stored at room temp kinda sucks. What gives?

Bottle. Pumpkin pie spice aroma with nutmeg, allspice and cinnamon as well as light pumpkin and a touch of smoke. Pours orangish-amber with a thin tan head with minimal retention and lacing. Starts with pumpkin as well as a bit of caramel sweetness. Finishes smooth with the pumpkin pie spices and a bit of smoke, it does however, finish a bit watery. Solid pumpkin from a great brewer. boxofrane (2559) - Spring City, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 30, 2015
Bottle from iron abbey. Pours clear amber with a medium sized white head and plenty of glass carbonation. The aroma is mostly pumpkin pie spices but there is a subtle smoky note. The taste has a lot of the pie spices, a dry bit of bitterness, some sweetness on the finish with a touch of that smoke character. jmohno (1690) - Iowa, USA - AUG 29, 2015
Dark, brownish red. Sweet nutty aroma malt-bready caramel with pumpkin spices- In those words guess that would classify it as pumpkin pie and at times it reminds me of pumpking but milder. Same in taste, some herbal finish citrus and more spices. good smooth mild-medium sweet nutty lightly burnt caramel, scotch ale with pumpkin spices, slick rich- from real pumpkin?. This style with pumpkin goes well. Complex refined spices not overly done but not underdone either- so that makes it well done.

Deep clear Amber pour with a thin ring of off white head .... Aroma is light and of caramel/toasted malts with light notes of pumpkin spice .... Taste is just toasted caramel malts and very light pumpkin spice notes ... None really sticks out more maybe cinnamon .... Finish is short and of caramel malts .... Bland and simple.... too simple blipp (10184) - La Mesa, California, USA - AUG 29, 2015
Bottle. Pours amber brownish with an off white head. Nutty sweet malts and pie spices, some light toasted malts, and mild grassy hoppy bitterness peeking through in the finish. Not overly sweet or spiced. Well balanced and relatively drinkable. abcfan (928) - New Jersey, USA - AUG 28, 2015
Nicely done. Pours a beautiful copper color with a tan head. Aroma is earthy with some spice and pumpkin. Smooth with a light spice finish. Changed (463) - Ithaca, New York, USA - AUG 27, 2015
12 oz bottle: Pumpkin Down. Pours ruby red, small white head, little retention. Aroma is vegetal, pumpkin, maybe some cough syrup. Flavor is cough syrup, pumpkin. Maybe this should never be drank the night after having two bottles of Warlock. Probably my least favorite BP beer to date. Mep3222 (1758) - East Greenbush, New York, USA - AUG 26, 2015
Nice smooth Caramelized malty base beer with an authentic pumpkin and nutmeg spiciness. Pumpkin is subtle and not overdone. Tastes like pumpkin pie. Not fake pumpkin flavors. It is quite nice. Not huge on pumpkin beers but this is subdued enough, and with a very nice base beer that it works well.
