COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Impossibly reddish in color (due to the beets) with nitro cascade fading into a pink cap of stable foam, great clarity. Seeing the beer in the glass shows the obvious resemblance to a slice of red velvet cake (red cake on the bottom topped with a layer of creamy white frosting). But the similarities don’t end there. The aroma is dominated by chocolate with earthy notes of beets and subtle wafts of roast coco. The flavor is similar to the aroma but with faint roast and hop bitterness coming in at the end balance it out, not cloying or overly sweet. The mouthfeel is medium and the finish is luxuriously smooth. It’s dessert served in a pint glass!

Pours red, quite clear and with some relatively long-lasting foamy head. Leaves some lacings on the glass. Nose is chocolaty, some stale coffee, reminds these golden stouts I have tried - but this one is just coloured red. Taste has lots of vanilla, more of that coffee bean stale bitterness, light sweetness there as well Mouthfeel is creamy, nitro coming through. Overall, interesting beer, gimmicky for sure, not really into pastry category but leaning to that direction with not too much success. OK. Plus points to the looks, flavours totally don't match them.

Bottle from World Market. Hazy reddish in color. Moderate foam Sweet fruity nose. Aroma is kind of candy-like. Sweet and malty up front. Somewhat creamy. Decent hop character. Pretty tasty. Tastes more like an amber than a stout.

Bottle shared at game night with Parksy, heavylaevy and TVM. In a word: gross. Weird jammy/earthy nose, and the palate goes downhill from there. Sweet, earthy, just all over the place.

Smooth and refreshing, obvious note of vanilla and hint of coffee. Copper red beer with light head. Fun if thin.

Pours up a beautiful clear red with a thick creamy pink head. Cake like aroma with roasted malt, vanilla. Tastes is similar with vanilla, roasted malt, some cherry, and a nice mild sweetness. Medium body and low carbonation. Very smooth.

12oz bottle pours with a clear rosy red amber colored body that supports a nice tan head of foam. The aroma offers up chocolate,  white chocolate, a thin earthy dirty beet note and sweet maltiness. The taste delivers smooth malt sweetened and slickened chocolate leading into a modest yet growing fruity berry sensation that's faintly tart. Behind those notes is a thin earthy beet note. Fun beer.

Very cool bottle, and it pours a very neat clear red color. Not much of a nose. Taste has elements of a (session) stout - and has a bit of a sour taste to it. Not getting the chocolate. Not terrible, but all downhill from the pour. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Red pour, smelled like chocolate. Wasn't as sweet as I thought it would be. Not horrific, but a novelty for sure. Would not drink again. Had a weird earthy/spice note at the finish. Meh.

Pours a fantastic fade from brick red to cherry with a thick foamy Guinness-like white head. A beautiful beer. Looks like a foam-topped Shirley Temple. Aroma is roasted malt, a touch of chocolate and I guess beets. Very smooth and creamy. Moderately sweet cocoa with some finishing hops. Easy drinking. Guinness, Old Speckled Hen and this are all cousins. I enjoyed this very much.
