COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
As part of the employee R&D program, which brings together teams of two to five Ballast Point employees to concept, formulate, and even name a beer of their own design. Teams then brew their beer on Ballast Point’s pilot brewery in Little Italy. Smooth. Complex malt layers and a hint of Saison flavor.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a hazy orange with small frothy white head that lasts. The aroma is floral and bread. Medium body, yeast, spice, bready malt, light finish, good.

Draft. Pours orange with a white head. Pale and bready malts, a touch of sweetness, toffee, and light bitterness. Pretty good.

Suttree (6504) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - DEC 28, 2016
On tap @ Suttree’s. Mostly clear golden orange, with a ring of foam. Smells bready, toasty, and lightly spicy. Taste is grassy, a bit funky, and a hint of tart.

3.5
bb (9789) - Alamo, California, USA - DEC 1, 2016
Draft. Amber beer with a cream head. Malt aroma. Malt and light spice flavor with light summer fruit. Medium bodied. Malt and light spice lingers with light summer fruit.

3.3
944play (427) - Portland, Oregon, USA - OCT 26, 2016
Draft at Sprenger’s. Clear pale amber with low fine head and dense lace. Caramel, toasty bread crust, orange marmalade, and rising dough nose. Flavors are notably less appealing, as although a broad malty sweetness opens, the bitterness is acrid and resinous. Hides its 8.9% effectively regardless.

3.4

Golden clear with white head. Some citrus and funk aroma. Subtle spiciness and saison taste. Pretty smooth ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

smooth. elements of farmhouse funk. traces of european yeast and malt. absolutely tasty! like a mix between a pale ale and a saison.

3.5
dwyerpg (6410) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - OCT 15, 2016
There’s really nothing bad to say about but not much to praise about it either. Has the flavor of a moderately spiced saison. Thinnish finish.

solidfunk (9407) - Washington D.C., Washington DC, USA - OCT 5, 2016
Great for style. Light citrus and pepper with some caramel. A little bit of a dank vibe. Golden pour with good head and lacing. Light tangy finish with clean aftertaste. A touch of booze. Tap at Churchkey.

3.4
17Beer (415) - Connecticut, USA - OCT 5, 2016
Subtle sour notes of aroma. Pours pale red thin off-whit head. Big barnyard sour tastes with chalky finish that’s really nice. Fizzy carbonation. I like it.
