Draft. Pours blackish brown with tiny bubble off white head notes of apples, whiskey, plum, vanilla. Crazy smooth and drinkable for a whiskey aged beer. Medium body and carbonation. skmikeg (1826) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 11, 2013
Pours a reddish brown with a small tan head. Aroma is of rye whisksy, toasted malts, nuts, rye bread, and molasses. Taste is about the same as the aroma. Has a medium body with a semi creamy mouthfeel, semi bitter, medium finish. Overall, a interesting brown ale that tastes a lot like whiskey. iowaherkeye (2703) - Ocean Beach, San Diego, California, USA - JAN 1, 2013
Tap at PP OB. Clear ruby brown with a one finger beige head, good retentio . Fresh whiskey in the nose with some nutty toasty malt, a little oak. No old barrel at all. Flavor has a little vanilla added, but still retains the fresh boozy character. Is this their own spirit? Seems like it, though I didn’t know that they did a rye whiskey. Finishes dry, bitterness a 2. Light to medium body with low carbonation. Good. JoeTheYounger (1183) - Lake Arrowhead, California, USA - DEC 20, 2012
