Bottle from local grocery. Good aroma. Well balanced hop flavor. Very impressed. Never had ballast point before, but will look out for their beers again. Very good. pdx76 (651) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JUN 23, 2013
On draught at baileys / pours a very clear copper color. Nose of floral, hop, and citrus. Taste of candied hop - nice balance of hop and malt.

On draught at Bailey’s Taproom. Clear dark golden color. Aroma is tropical fruit hops. Taste is really hoppy, but really balanced. Sweet tropical fruit leads to a tart dry bitterness on the finish. resevil787 (123) - Arizona, USA - JUN 22, 2013
Pours a golden amber. Two fingers of head. Very well balanced IPA. Expected a fruity citrus finish but it was more grass flower and hop notes. Outstanding IPA. firefly765 (195) - - JUN 22, 2013
Pours a nice clear straw yellow. Medium head with nice lacing nice piney aroma but not overpowering. Very nicely balanced beer. Very drinkable perfect example of the style.

Draft. Pours clear orange gold with a foamy off white head. Aroma is malty, fermentation, light alcohol, pine, grapefruit, and orange. Flavor is sweet, bready malt, biscuit, bitter, grapefruit, pine, and lemon. Medium body with high carbonation. Dry finish. zsb19 (168) - Cincinnati, Kentucky, USA - JUN 21, 2013
Pours hazy golden color with medium tight white head that laces all the way down. Aroma is sweet juicy flowery hops. Taste is dank hoppiness with biting grapefruit citrus and a nice malty backbone. Follow through is dank bitter hoppiness that lingers nicely in the aftertaste. Overall this is a very well balanced IPA. jivy26 (32) - Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA - JUN 20, 2013
Very solid IPA golden slightly cloudy appearance, thumbs width head at pour, tastes of slight hops and citrus which comes off as a grapefruit flavor but doesn’t overpower like some I’ve had with that grapefruit taste. DougHnut70 (72) - Livermore, California, USA - JUN 20, 2013
UPDATED: NOV 24, 2014 Bomber from Safeway poured into a tulip. Cloudy, golden with a thin head. Smells fresh, light, tropical fruits, light hoppiness. Taste starts sweet, but moves to grassy, herbal, mellow but up front hops and ends with a very dry finish. Medium body, perfect carbonation, easy to drink. That said, I’m underwhelmed due to the ratings and the price ($8 a bomber on sale!). This is a great starter into the IPAs for the uninitiated.
10.12.13 update - still feel exactly the same as above. Smells great, but tastes above average but just not worth the price ($9 bomber this time).
11.24.14 Update: Tried a fresh 6 pack that was delivered to Raja’s this week. Still feel the same - maybe even a little overrated. It has a bitter finish when compared to Pliny the Elder and Lagunitas beers (which I also had tonight). Not that it’s bad - it’s just the most expensive ($14/6 pack on sale) and it’s not quite the best. Prefer the sweetness of Lagunitas or the lack of any bitter aftertaste of Pliny or the smoothness of Alesmith or Alpine to this one. JohnGalt1 (1721) - Boise, Idaho, USA - JUN 19, 2013
Very pretty foamy 2 inch head leaves great lace for the entire glass.. the brew is a slightly hop hazed tangerine orange..
The nose is honestly pretty astounding... like a fruity citrus juice concoction.. lemons.. limes.. melon... yummy.
Wow! Tangerine and tropical fruit hoppiness from front to back on this one.. only enough pale malts to deliver the hoppy goodness .. finish reminds me of grapefruit zest..
Body is on the lighter side for the style.. but it adds nicely to the overall package.. sorta dry too.. and I appreciate it.. dangerously drinkable.. But at $7.50/bomber, it isn’t going to happen too often.
