650 ml bottle, pours clear light golden brown with a good carbonation. Aroma starts with a citrus fruit tang, quite sweet and then follows a sweeping delicious crisp bitterness with caramel malt, loads of piney & floral hops in their too, with more grapefruit. The finish is very bitter but crisp and moreish. A complex, quality IPA NeuroPliny (247) - Calgary, Alberta, CANADA - MAR 21, 2013
Toronado, San Diego. Orange amber pour. Bountiful head. Dry hop aroma that doesn't overpower. Classic grapefruit and pine on the front end. A surprising hint of lemon to spice things up. neuromatt (1226) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 21, 2013
On tap at Toronado in San Diego, served in a shaker. Pours clear golden-amber with a tiny white head that fades slowly to a thin remnant and leaves a small amount of fine lace. On the nose, there are big notes of fresh hops, with grapefruit, lemon, pine and resin. Just a touch of pale, biscuity malts come through. The flavour starts moderately bitter and becomes more so with hoppy notes continued from the nose. It closes with a long, hoppy and spicy finish with loads of resin. On the palate it is medium in body with a dry texture and average carbonation. Overall this is a very nice IPA with loads of resiny hop bitterness. Fresh and refreshing, it is great for an afternoon on the patio. 2013-03-21 Cory (382) - , California, USA - MAR 21, 2013
Bottle. Lots of sweet and fresh grass hops, sweet hop taste, crisp but lingering bitter on palate, and a light amber. Great IPA but it seems everyone already is aware. Jamesthebrit (484) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - MAR 20, 2013
A: Pours a little on the light side but otherwise amber. Head dissipates pretty rapidly leaving some good lacing.
S: Aroma is very fruity. Appricot... orange are the big players. Some hops but lighter.
T: Subtle fruit notes. A little bit of fruit. A little bit of malt. The bitterness seems to overwhelm the other notes and fade quickly leaving a dull bitterness.
P: Carbonation is a little aggressive. Decent flavor development.
I was so excited to try this beer! Great ratings.... picture of a sculpin (my wife totally takes care of them at the aquarium!) IPA, Ballast Point!!! But this beer was pretty disappointing. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t good either. A little uncontrolled... doesn’t bring anything special to the table. The Big Eye IPA and the Calico Amber were way way better. I have a growler of this bad boy in the fridge so I will see if it gets better.

Draught at Blue Monk. Deep copper, with an off white foam. Huge notes of citrus and fresh pine fill the nose, and lead to a bready malt profile. Very bitter with bright acidity and amedium caramel sweetness. Very well balanced, long bitter finish, full bodied. Excellent effort. bhops (433) - Dallas, Texas, USA - MAR 16, 2013
Nice IPA. Aroma is not overpowering, but flavor is good. Nice piney sharpness, citrus. Slightly oily but pleasant.

Light amber draught. Minimal but lasting head. Very smooth IPA with limited bitterness. Floral, pine, and citrus notes make this a fantastic alternative to the "hop head" varieties of pale ales. conway (2210) - - MAR 15, 2013
Uploading old ratings that were missing comments. Once of the best IPAs out there. Huge citrusy and piney hop notes. Smooth rich palate and a lively carb. One of my favorites.

On tap at Pub Republic. Had this beer many times and it never fails to please. Intense hoppy flavors but so well balanced against the alcohol.
