Clear, orange colour with big, stable head. Nice lacing too. After opening the bottle, it feels big punch of citrus (grapefruit!), exotic fruits (mango, maybe even passion fruit), some floral note and malty base on background. Taste is light to medium sweet, medium to heavy bitter, light dry. Finish is very long, biiter, but not harsh or tart. Soft carbonation. Medium to full body. Fantastic, very drinkable, no doubt one of the best IPA I’ve ever tried. LetsGoState (886) - Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 16, 2011
Appearance is orange with a medium white head. Aroma is strong floral hops. Taste is similarly floral hops with a good bite of bitterness. IPA isn’t my style, but this is one of the better ones out there. undsioux7 (876) - Eden Prairie, Minnesota, USA - APR 2, 2008
UPDATED: OCT 23, 2015 Pours a clear golden with a good sized head. Very nice aroma of citrus hops, some caramel as well. Light sweetness, slightly strong bitterness, clean finish. copyright grimreeser. Thanks for the taste! BeerFunGuy (875) - California, USA - MAY 5, 2013
This holed IPA has an amazingly beautiful aroma. Very floral and citrusy. The flavor has a strong hop flavor with lots of bite.

Relatively fresh bottle with new label design, just a few weeks old. Bright gold color with very small white head and no lacing. Aroma is very citrusy and piney. Flavor is mostly citrus, with a clean bitter finish. This is so smooth and very crisp, and tastes good but its kind of boring. Price on the 6-packs are a bit high.

Trop vieille. Mais potentiellement bonne. Nez franchement caramel (signe de non fraîcheur) et fond orangé.
Bouche du même acabit avec un petit côté un peu floral et résineux. woodychevy (874) - - FEB 15, 2011
Had this at Happy Hour at Smoky Oak in Chas. Was almost the end of the cask-conditioned ale- poured very flat with no head. Bit hard to get past the appearance of it - doesn’t make one salivate like the traditional bubbles and foam topping one is used to. Flatness led to limited aroma and low score for appearance/ palate. Made up for it some with taste- very fruity, refreshing. Definitely unique. Would pair well with spicy food. 70 IBU’s. Definitely hoppy without being dry or bitter. Worth another taste- maybe tomorrow :) Treebs (872) - , Illinois, USA - OCT 4, 2012
Poured from bomber into snifter
A: Pours a nice clear golden apple color with a light peach 1.5 finger head. Great retention on this brew. An incredible net-like lace follows me down the glass.
S: Nice light citrus hops, sweet honey, floral hops as well.
T: Very sweet flowers with a light citrus hoppy note. Just a tad bitter on the backend but mellows back to a nice sweet oak.
M: Light bodied, incredibly smooth and a nice light carbonation as well. Leaves a nice sweet and bitter taste.
O: I think this was good, but the flavors and smell sort of fell flat. There was some sediment in the bottle so I plan on revisiting this when I know I’m having the freshest Sculpin I can have.

It has a dark golden color with a nice head. Aroma is tropical fruit with some floral notes. Taste has citrus with pine. The bitterness definitely comes through in the finish. cervmagpt (869) - PORTUGAL - MAR 17, 2017
Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 21A). Bottle 35.5 cl - Batch SC1447 (BBF unknown). AROMA: medium hop aroma with some oxidation notes already taking place. notes of mango, slight peach and faint dried grass. medium-low almost neutral malt background with a slight oxidation note (caramelized). APPEARANCE: deep gold/orange-ish color and clear. medium white head with good retention. TASTE: medium-low hop notes (resin/pine), followed by a slight caramelized medium-low malt background. medium-high bitterness with a dry and bitter finish that endures. PALATE: medium-light body with medium carbonation. OVERALL: an american IPA showing oxidation notes and that should be nice fresher. The US breweries should pay more attention to the shipping conditions because the Europeans also want to drink your great beer. ;)
