UPDATED: MAR 7, 2008 Mmmmmm. yummy. Tried from cask at Ballast Point’s 11th anniversary celebration. Nice creamy 1 finger microbubble head that quickly fades to nothing (very cask like). Pale yellow-orange color. Nice medium hoppy aroma after head has faded. Medium grapefruit hop bitterness. Kind of easy to drink. Becomes more watery after a few sips. 8,3,7,3,16:3.7
Tried again at Churchills with deftim 13 and Ivan 3/6/08. Wow! Super duper easy to drink. Much easier to drink than the younger and elder I had tonight. I have to bump the rating way up. I have spoken! doubleo (1432) - San Diego, California, USA - MAR 4, 2008
22oz bomber from SBD. Pours a brilliant light orange color with a crisp white head with decent retention. Smells of light citrusy hops, a bit of orangy sweetness, faintly grassy. Tastes light and citrusy, malty and hoppy sweet up front, crisply bitter on the finish. Very well balanced and 7% to boot. Light/medium body, very thin and smooth, but a little hop syrupiness as well. Crisp carbonation. hophead75 (2012) - Largo, Florida, USA - MAR 16, 2008
Shared by Eyedrinkale. Lightly hazy orange in color with a medium off white head. Aroma: very fresh, very hoppy aroma- citrus, passion fruit, orange, mango, light pine, earthy resin. Taste is alot of citrus, mango, over a sweet pale malt base, piney bitterness is moderate throughout, the hop character is moderately sticky and resinous. Some honey and light caramel sweetness poke through here and there. Finishes moderately bitter and lingers nicely. Excellent west coast IPA. Thanks Mike! Wow!! Thanks to Bu11zeye for this bottle. Poured a clear deep golded color with slight off white head. Aroma had alot of hoppy citrus notes. This beer had a very nice heavy taste of very fresh hops, as if you just popped a hop in your mouth....medium body....VERY nice!

Courtesy TheCheeseMan. Gold. Modest white head. Huge resiny, grassy, lightly fruity and citrusy hops. Subtle malt background. Nicely bitter. Medium body, balanced, easy to drink. Excellent west coast hop bomb. JMFG (1587) - Florida, USA - MAR 29, 2008
Courtesy TheCheeseMan. Clear orange color with a thin, persistent billowy head. Great spicy, peppery floral hop aroma. Taste is aggressive, but the floral characters balance everything out. The finish is subdued but tingles from the hops. Palate nearly perfect for an IPA. Well put together. undsioux7 (876) - Eden Prairie, Minnesota, USA - APR 2, 2008
UPDATED: OCT 23, 2015 Pours a clear golden with a good sized head. Very nice aroma of citrus hops, some caramel as well. Light sweetness, slightly strong bitterness, clean finish. copyright grimreeser. Thanks for the taste! ironchefscott (357) - portland, Oregon, USA - APR 8, 2008
a damn good ipa....lighter in color and body then alot of the other examples of the style....
but......darn good nose of grapefruity hops....and also the lighter body helps to showcase the hops more....good stuff BBB63 (6557) - La Porte, Indiana, USA - APR 18, 2008
UPDATED: APR 28, 2009 Bomber bottle and served in my GI IPA tulip, THANKS JON for the bottle:
Pours a clean coppery golden hue with a small but lasting frothy head which left very nice clinging lace upon the glassware. The aroma has a bountiful amount of tropical and piney hops along with some sweey bready malts and a hint of hop spice. The taste is nicely balanced between crisp citric hops and mild pale and caramel malting. The finish displays a light spicy note and some metallic tones. The mouth feel is sprite and crisp, very refreshing and drinkable. Yet another winning IPA from the SoCal area. Mikey Likey, get ya some before they are all gone.
