22oz bottle. Pours a golden yellow with an orange tint and a medium white head. Aroma is fantastic of apricots, pineapple, grapefruit, lemons, and hops. Flavor is lemons, pineapple, grapefruit and pine. Medium body with a little heat. Great IPA. williamherbert (1541) - Syracuse, New York, USA - JUN 5, 2011
Aroma is citrusy hops, tangerine and lemon. Nothing but sweet goodness.
The appearance is banana yellow, tiny bubbles of carbonation. Fluffy head; decent spotty lace. Very "pale."
The flavor is citrus: tangerine, orange, lemon, hint of apple skins. Very sweet with just a hint of pale malts. Meshes beautifully. A touch of dry yeast at the finish.
The palate is slightly fizzy and juicy. Very hefty finish. A little dry. (It reminds me of Rogue Yellow Snow, So. Tier Krampus.) This is a sweet, summery IPA and a damn good one. 48FanInCali (851) - California, USA - JUN 8, 2011
On Nitro tap at brewery. Beautiful golden pour with thick, puffy, white head that only nitro can do. Nose is citrus, pine, and some tropical fruits. Taste follows the nose but the hops are dialed down a little compared to other IPAs. Mouthfeel is crazy good and creamy. GRM (4014) - Aylmer, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 11, 2011

[Bottle] Lightly hazed orangey amber hue, soft pillowy enduring foam. Sweet fruitiness to the hoppy aroma, orange and grapefruit, very aromatic. Plenty of hops on the palate, slightly dry orange at first followed by a mild, light biscuity malt then a big strong grapefruit finish.

Bomber. Pours slightly hazy and bright orange with hints of yellow, topped with a 2-finger meringue-like off-white head. Nice retention, with rings of thick and creamy lacing left behind as the head recedes. The aroma is vibrant spicy pine, lemon and grapefruit peel, candied mango, and peach. The flavor is tart lemon peel, spicy pine and earth and dirt, and slight mango. Nice bitterness present initially and in the finish. Light to medium body and medium carbonation, slightly warming, and a bit tangy. Really tasty, I’m glad this showed up in town. FROTHINGSLOSH (7670) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 4, 2011
UPDATED: JUL 23, 2014 Rated on IPA day. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a very cloudy apricot color with a medium sized foamy orange-white head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was strong grapefruit, pine, lemon and pineapple. The flavor was bitter,t art and tangy with strong pine and grapefruit and light notes of lemon, orange and perfume. The finish was long with pine, grapefruit and orange lingering. Medium body. Well done. elgiacomo (745) - Ringgold/Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia, USA - AUG 5, 2011

Pours lightly hazy golden amber with a three finger fluffy white head that holds a great cap and leaves nice spotty lacing.
Aroma is lemon, apricot, floral & grassy hops, some light tropical fruits, some melon, a bit of pineapple, some orange and grapefruit, caramel and bready malt. Good to very good strength.
Flavor is citrus, lemon, orange, grapefruit, some pineapple and apricot, a little bit resinous, balanced against some bread and light caramel malt, finishes with very good bitterness. Minimal alcohol.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied, a bit oily, medium carbonation.
An excellent IPA for sure although the hype train leaves a tad bit to be desired, particularly in the aroma department. I’m stoked to finally get a chance to try Sculpin and while it may not be quite everything I had hoped it is still a fantastic IPA and one I would seek out again.
Poured with a golden hue and an inch of head that quickly faded. Tasted of lemons and a little peach. Hoppy as an imperial ipa, but much lighter bodied. The bitterness lingers and has a cumulative effect. The more I drank the more similar to a bitter Belgian ipa it became.

Very good IPA. Citrus and tropical fruits dominate with a nice balance of caramel sweetness. 7%abv seems to be the perfect level for an IPA as all the best ones land about at that point. Really refreshing and tasty beer.
