Gorgeous golden ale with beautiful white head. Perfect balance of sweet hoppy citrus at the front end with nice punchy bitter on the back end. (22oz Bottle / Walnut Liquorette, Walnut, CA / March 2012) egrivner (10) - Oreland, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 20, 2012

UPDATED: OCT 24, 2012 Takes home the Gold thats all there is to say, If you don’t believe me put your hands on this one and you too will confirm my rating. By far the best IPA you will ever lay hands on. Pours a nice golden amber color and retains the lacing throughout of a nice white frothy head. Orange, Pine, Mango and Grapefruit are all present in this perfect example of what every other brewer should set their standard at. By far and above the best IPA available that I have had the chance to sample. And yes kids I did get a six keg to enjoy for my own pleasure. If you have not yet tried this one you owe it to yourself to scurry on down to your local store and pick it up. out of this world

Even though I don’t play favorites Sculpin IPA could be my favorite. Its always tasty, I have it everytime I come to San Diego. I have had it 3 or 4 times now and never rated it, well here goes. Aroma is peach, mango, grapefruit and orange, theres alot there. Appearance is beautiful orange gold with a nice frothy head. Taste is only amazing, thats it. Bright punchy sparkling liquid gold, with hops at the front mid and back of your swig, followed by a beatifully citrus swallow. Palate is hoppy, spicy and very tasty. It leaves some hoppy residue but for an IPA lover this is bliss. Overall super awesome you have to try it. 5.0 dhunter151 (590) - Santa Rosa, California, USA - JAN 28, 2013
One of the best IPAs. This is packed with hops. Tastes of pine and grapefruit. Very thirst quenching.

Light amber head that lingers. Crisp hop aroma with light cereal notes. Wonderful grapefruit citrus explosion that gives way to malt well balanced and delicious. Crisp on the tongue and although relatively strong, it feels light.

Top end IPA; for sure in my top 5. Treated myself on father’s day to a 6 pack. Did the trick :) Rballs01 (282) - Madison, New Jersey, USA - SEP 3, 2013
UPDATED: SEP 5, 2013 Had at The Union, Encinitas CA. Delicious. Perfectly balanced IPA. Pours yellow orange, clear. minimal head. Intense hops on the first sip then mellows out. A unique floral hop notes linger on the palate, slightly spicy and like nothing i have ever tasted. A great high powered session IPA. Highly addictive and perfection at its best. Bravo!
6-Pack in NJ, poured same clear yellow orange, minimal head. Same great freshness and flavors. It travels well, not cheap $14.99 for 6 12oz bottles. Well worth it. A flawless IPA DBI (1) - - SEP 9, 2013 does not count
Great IPA is an excellent dry, refreshing example of this style. Aroma and hoppiness fit the category perfectly. mjstacker (5) - - SEP 28, 2013 does not count
People always told me to try this and for whatever reason I never have. Very happy I just did. Haven’t smelled/tasted this much melon in anything else except Maine Beer Co. "Another One." Wish it had a brewed on date.
