Dark mahogany brown topped with moderate beige spotting.
Nose is rich caramel, booze, spice, candied fruit peel, dates, oaky tones, sweet malt, brown sugar, toasted notes.
Taste comprises sticky toffee pudding, rich fuit cake, dates, figs, spice, light wine barrel notes, red berry.
Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with lightly warming booze.

Draft @the brewery. Pours a hazy dark brown color with a small tan head. Has a fruity malty dry wine, raisin and dark fruit aroma. Sweetish malty spicy woody wine and dark fruit flavor. At Old Grove. Pours a caramel color with lots a red hues
Soapy eggshell head. Aroma is candied sugar, hops and some vinous motes. Taste is sweet with lots of alcohol burn! Some bitterness and vinous notes too. Full bodied and sticky, but really hot.

On tap at Old Grove. Pours a dark cola brown with tan head. Aroma of dark fruits, grapes, brown sugar, and oak. Taste is similar with a lot of winey notes and oaky notes. Has a medium body with a slighty slighty creamy mouthfeel and a semi dry, semi sweet, oaky finish. Overall, a very interesting and pretty tasty barlywine that makes good use of wine barrels. The pour is a dark amber color with an off-white head. The wine gives the beer a very fruity aroma. Lots of grape and red fruit notes with plenty of oak, too. Very sweet from all the wine as well as the natural sweetness of the brown sugar, caramel, and toffee notes. The flavor is slightly oxidized with a hint of chocolate. A decent offering, well worth the money and i’d definitely get it again. Just didn’t knock my socks off. High levels of oxidation, very raisony, more so than I remembered from the regular offering. The oxidation actually isnt that bad though, its fitting.
